It all started with Hege wanting something around the birthdate she had. I could basically do whatever I wanted!
So when I got up that morning I got some inspiration from my chinese silk night dress I had on, and wanted to make something similar! Doing white outlines are not easy, but I think it looked pretty good!
Then she wanted to fill up her whole leg.. and I added some dots:) That was so much fun! Have never done these types of tattoos before, but it came out very nicely.

I think I can sum up this entire article in two words
STOP IT!
Unfortunately, that's not going to do the trick, and I feel that maybe I should explain myself.
I've said this before, but obviously I need to reiterate it... again... and LOUDLY!
1. If you're not 18, you're not allowed on the site. All your shit will be deleted!2. If you're not working in a studio and have never worked in one, you're not a body mod pro... you're unemployed.
With that, I think I've just made a bunch of new enemies =) Oh well... someone's got to do it.
Are there exceptions? No.
"But I know what I'm doing" - No, you don't.
Now, let me please show you WHY I'm reacting so strongly to this:

Sadly, this kind of this is far too common. So everyone out there that want's to yell at me, "I know what I'm doing", you're just being a stubborn blockhead.
This particular case has to do with an infection that is easily transmittable by piercers and tattoo artists that don't have the proper training on infectious deceases and blood born pathogens. This one is MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus). It's a Staph infection that eats away at your flesh and is resistant to most of the common antibiotics out there.
How is MRSA Spread? (from WebMD.com)

Here's a taste from my long, rambling blog post on Needles & Sins on the Detroit Motor City Tattoo Expo this past weekend:
[...]
Ok, here's how it went...
* On Thursday, I arrived at the Marriott Renaissance Center -- a labyrinth of circular walkways that lead to GM cars, a suspended Starbucks and conference rooms that would be filled during the weekend with tattooists as well as pharmacists. [And during the course of this weekend, it was clear who were the drug dealers and who weren't.]
* The hotel lobby bar began to brim with the tattooed; lots of hugs, back-slaps and complicated handshakes were shared between friends who largely see each other on the convention circus circuit. Drinks were poured and the next thing I know, I'm whisked away to a casino in Greek Town (my people!) and taught how to play craps. This was my first lesson of the weekend. The second was not to drink tequila with Mexican tattoo artists. Let this be a cautionary tale for you as well.

During the first years of my visits to Horiyoshi III, all manner of tattoo devotees were constantly present: foreign and domestic apprentices, Horiyoshi's clients, Horitomo and his clients, journalists, even graduate students researching their masters thesis or doctoral dissertation.
Quite a few of the apprentices and clients I recognized from photographs in the various books about Horiyoshi's work. This photo of was taken by Mr. Handa, who appeared in Takahiro Kitamura's book Bushido: Legacies of Japanese Tattoo. This book influenced my tattoo choices, and here was one of the characters from the book taking pictures of my tattoos! What a role reversal.

Done on a very unique client who contacted me and wanted a branding on her back. When she 1st brought in this design, it was about 3"X3". She kept telling me to 'make it bigger, make it bigger' until it basically took up her entire back. No tattoos, no piercings, but one big ass back branding. Done w/ electro-cautery. Took 2+ hrs w/ all the removal.

I have been working on my chest piece for a few months now. I originally just had the top parts of the sides (only 4 though) on each side, and from there added the diamond (17 in it total). Today I added 44 more by filling in the sides. The nipples were removed by a dermal punch and replaced with anchors with diamond tops. Done by Craig Kelley at Eulogy Tattoos in New Philidelphia Ohio.

I did this at the Grave City Convention in Kansas City this summer... I got really lucky to have a client so open to getting a color portrait done right and at the right size to put in the necessary detail. The hair was kinda rushed because they were threatening to turn out the lights on us... hopefully soon i will get an opportunity to do a follow up session and really make this tattoo perfect!
