When i got my snake bites i didnt feel them at all! I usually find the swelling and after the piercing is always the worst bit. I got my belly button done and it didnt hurt quite a lot, although i didnt feel like vomiting. Everyone experiences piercings differently so no one can tell exactly how it will feel but they are meant to be one of the least painful piercings. You make sure you go to a piercer with a good reputation and make sure you look after your piercings well.

depends on the person, one person won't feel it and another may almost pass out. Just go for it, pain is part of the experience.

Piercing pain is a uniquely personal, though short-lived experience. It's up to you to determine if the ornamentation afterward is worth it.

if you don't want to experience pain, don't get pierced. avoids the situation completely.
for me, i have eleven lip piercings at the moment, and i've had a few more, plus have redone others. they are all self pierced, along with the rest of my facial work. i do them with proper needles, gloves, and jewellery, all clean and sterile. i don't do anything i am not comfortable with, and i do a hell of a lot of research, and constantly. just saying this in case people have forgotten and would like speaking up again. my lip piercings were almost the least painful. swelling is pretty annoying, as is lymph and crust, but as Shelliokin has said, it's up to you to determine if it is worth it.
it's all about experience for me. i want to know what it is like, painless or not. i'm also a bad person to ask about pain. i didn't experience pain with a 0g(8.3mm) dermal punch in my right inner conch. it shouldn't always be done because of how it looks, in my opinion. there's so much more to body modification than just that.

I did mine myself a couple days ago, for me it wasn't too painful - like biting your lip really hard almost. I say just go for it, if you get one done and can't stand to get the 2nd one, at least you'll have one cute lip piercing and can go back once/if you are ready for another.

A good thing to know, which may be offputting but i always give my friends/clients an honest answer when they ask about this kinda stuff! When you are getting 2 piercings done at the same time, the 2nd one will be more painful than the first. When you get pierced, your body releases endorphins which make you more sensitive so the 2nd time you will feel more. But everyone is different and that's what determins how much it will hurt! I personally found them to be less painful than a bellybutton xx

Needles, that is not true for everyone. Some people will feel less pain because of the rush, some people have denser concentrations of nerve endings in one area than another, and sometimes the second piercing can go easier than the first. My second nipple hurt less than my first, which disappointed me because the first one barely hurt at all.

I have my snakebites done, retired, redone and retired and getting them redone again.
Never been painful for me. Guess I'm just lucky ^_^
