I would suggest refraining from using 2 earrings to stretch an ear lobe. I, foolishly, did And it wasnt pretty. After a week skin started to grown inbetween the 2 rings and almost form 2 seperate holes. Also, it will scab and open over and over and sting a lot and make stains all over your pillow and when you finally take them out it will be bloody and infected and continue to hurt.
Yea, it was a stupid idea. Im glad i lost the 3rd earring i was gonna put in with them...

Yeah I would figure that could be bad Unfortunately I know a lot of people who do. Or wear multiple earrings in their tunnels in order to stretch faster.

Oh dear. D:
You know, Noogums, from the topics you've made recently...
I think you really need to take a step back and start doing some more research about proper stretching techniques before attempting to stretch your ears. From what you've been posting, it makes me worry that you're going to end up with really damaged ears. ):

Hmm, maybe it is not a good idea if the hole is fresh or too small for the piercings. But I'm sure that people who've had lots of different piercings have a massed a wide collection of jewelry. Well when I get bored I like to play around putting say like two rings in one hole and its never been a problem.

You just stated the difference. You do it to play around when you're bored. He did it to attempt to stretch.

I used to wear two earrings in the one piercing. a chunky one, and a dangly one underneath it.
Didn't do my ears any harm. Right enough, it certainly wasn't fresh: I got mine done when I was like 3.
Come on, ease up on Noogums. :)

I doubt it has anything to do with common sense or that the people doing this think it's a good idea. Either it's stupidity because of ignorance, or it's plain stupidity. ;-)
For example, someone i know (personally, not a friend of a friend of a friend) stretches using nails (disinfected with alcohol), don't ask me how she uses nails to stretch, i have no idea and haven't had the chance to asking her. She's gotten to 16mm without problems (as far as i know). And when i told her about taping (PTFE- and bondage-tape) she had never even heard of it and asked if i was insane... ^^ And she's a smart girl, she merely does what people have told her about stretching, not knowing there are other ways. = ignorance.
So i don't think posts like the ones written by ihaveonlyme or wolfbaden6 are in order (nothing personal against you guys ofcourse )

You got me there
But then again, intelligence isn't the same as common sense in this subject; you'd need some basic information about the matter before you'd be able to think about the consequences = common sense.
So i don't agree with you, but i do

i used to sometimes use two rings in one hole, but notas a stretch, just for looks. like once I lost my 6G plug, and 2 8G tapers fit well until I could replace it...
but to stretch it I'd imagine youre only tearing the skin and putting yourself thruogh more pain than it's worth. stretching shoudlnt hurt:)

oops, I've been wearing 2 1.6mm rings in my 2nd lobe piercing in my left ear for a few months now after I lost the ball from the 2.4mm ring that was in it and had been there for over 1 year and no problems. I am going to be getting pretty much all new jewellery soon (most likely studs or plugs) as I want them all to be the same shine wise as I have a mix of surgical steel, titanium and niobium at the moment and want everything to match on my wedding day.

You figured that out all by yourself, huh?
I think you need to think seriously about stretching properly before you do yourself some damage.
Oh, and Mule, that piercer needs to be kicked in the face!!

i struggle to find the common sense, but hey...i tried to initially pierce my lip with a sowing needing (actually a T-pin with the end clipped off by yours truly). yes, pretty stupid, but i was an impatient kid and i wanted (needed) to have my lip pierced.
i eventually learned through trial and error rather than common sense and shared knowledge.
we all do dumb shit, just try not to do so much of it in such a short span of time. at least youre posting on this site...you can hopefully see what works for others and if you do a google search you can pretty much find all you need to know about proper stretching, lubricants to use for it, and how to clear up any infection you may or may not have with your ears.

Hell we've all made a few mistakes, I knew a bloke who used a broom handle to stretch his lobes. Might make sweeping up a little easier though...

I finally got round to ordering jewellery a while back and I now have a 3mm 316l SS tunnel in my 2nd lobe piercing. My second lobe piercing had been done 15 or so years ago and had no issues with 2 rings in it and had been streched for over a year before using the two rings.

My sister when we were kids used nails and things to stretch her lobes and do her own piercings (like the webbing on her hand between her thumb and index finger) Watching her mistakes and the infected outcomes I learned not to try anything silly like that...I think the only thing ive done myself was my 5th holes in my ear lobes with a sewing needle, everything else went to a professional.
so yah, people need to think of the outcome and not just be impatient to get something done. I know this can be easier said then done sometimes haha

The common sense in this and most situations is not to automatically know the correct way to stretch your holes or to pierce your lip, the common sense comes into play when you are supposed to ask someone who does know.
I don't know how to perform knee surgery so I go to someone who does know how.
Although people were quick to judge the OP, the OP should have had the common sense to ask someone who knows what is the most likely outcome.
