I have seen worse things though. I saw a boy once pierce his ear with a safety pin and force a 3mm taper through it straight away. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I don't know what happened to him or if his ears are all fucked up now (I assume he continued to do stupid stretches like that afterwards)

I know someone who did exactly that, The after having a 3mm pin in for a couple of days he jumped straight up to a ten. I really have no idea how his earlobe didn't tear.

To be honest we were all clueless at one point. Some people take the time to learn and others learn the hard way.

Just goes to show you should listen to people with experience and research before you take anything on, whatever it is!!

When I was younger I did nearly the same thing. It's scary to think about all the times I could've gotten a huge infection.

Phew, I didn't know you could do it wrong on so many levels, so many times.
Why don't people realize they're doing it wrong after the first time?

For my first stretch I went to a piercing studio that went from a 20g or so straight to a 6g, I trusted them that it was ok (even asked them if it wasn't too quick, they said it wasn't) but after the amount of pain I was in I started to question their methods...

People just need to turn on their brains and do some research.

I can't understand why they just didn't stop after it had messed up the first time or second. Or why he said he went on to sites an got info, dair enough at the start they didn't know what they where doing but from reading sites you would think that they would have at least some vauge idea of how to di it properly.

I think stories like this are the reason people who don't understand mods think that its dangerous and stupid.

When I first started stretching I also skipped alot of sizes. I went from a 10g to a 4 and some other time I skipped a few. My left ear is kinda fucked up but not really bad or anything. But I really regret doing the skipping shit.

I guess I was lucky to be scared of modding most my life, I had talked to a friend and learned a good portion of basics before I went through with anything. I can't count how many friends I have that laugh at me because I use astro glide and a taper instead of just pushing a plug through my ear. Thankfully my piercer is really cool takes extra precautions some people think is weird, better wierd than infected though right?

wow. then again, I'm sure i was just as stupid when I was 14...sort of.

I was always pretty good with stretching

but reading something like that now, i see it in such a different perspective than if I had been 14!

I do not understand why people will be so impatient with their own bodies. Though I am a stickler for doing things right and professionally always. Meh, it has worked for me thus far.

That's a good story to have someone read if they are considering skipping sizes and stretching stupidly. Scared me lol... and I haven't even reached the point of stretching yet ! still have about a month to go til my lobes are fully healed... it makes me happy I found this site lol
