Different people have told me that a nostril piercing hurts more then a helix  ( i know this varies on the indiviudal ) but as a genralisation

Why do people have to be so fucking bad to each other so often.

i have had multiples of both, and I personally found the nostril to be more sensitive

And I thought the opposite.  My nostril was just a slight stinging sensation, where I thought the helix was somewhat painful.   Doesn't really matter too much though, neither one was that bad.

my nose hurt the most out of everything I've had done. (tongue, rook, and 12mm lobes) but I find that afterwards it doesn't hurt all that much at all. I don't find it to be tender or anything.

first time i got my nose done... it hurt like hell. 2nd time, not so much.

healing pain though... helix every time. god, i don't think i ever want to heal one of those ever again. give me a nose piercing instead of a helix any day!

well i might have somethin' to say about that, space man!

As far as initial pain from the piercing needle goes, I couldn't say one was worse than the other. As far as pain from healing goes, I'd have to say Helix. Those f*ckers still give me hell for no reason whatsoever, and they've been pierced for 14 years!

Well I dont have a 'nostril' piercing, but I do have a septum as well as my helix. Out of the two, I would say that the helix was WAYYY more painful. Then again, I didn't experience ANY pain whatsoever when I had my septum pierced.
And actually, I have quite a few cartilage piercings and out of all of them, a standard helix was the most painful, (Aside from my standard cartilage which was done with a piercing gun! NEVER again!!!) which is funny concidering I have an industrial, forward helix and conch. Lol.

I don't have a helix piercing, my only cartilage piercing is my rook, and that definitely hurt more than my nostril.
I can't really imagine anything hurting less than my nostril though, I hardly felt it at all.
Same with healing, my rook is almost 2 months old and constantly sore, and my nostril is barely 3 weeks old and I hardly ever felt it at all!

When I had my nostril done, it wasn't bad at all - I was partially drunk but, it made my eyes water like hell, but other than that I barely felt it.

ive had flats punched and nostrils pu nched and i think the flats hurt more.  the tissue for my flats is pretty much the same as my helix.

I havve only had my nostrils, of the two piercings in question, but I got them both done at the same time. I did not think they really hurt at all.

I've had my nostril done twice, and I have multiple helix piercings. I'd say the first time I had my nostril was horrible, it effing caned. The second time was not even half as bad, just a slight sting. Helix piercings are fine, if a little stingy when they're being done, but they hurt and ache and ooze for weeks even months after. Nothing major, but... I'd have to go with Nostril ftw... lol

Glimmi says: But yeah theres that old saying you can't judge a book by it's cover, cause it could have like 60 piercings in it's cock......Well that's not how the saying actually goes but you get my point.
