I dunno if it makes sense, but when i need to cry but can't do that, i just flop down on the bed or sofa, and watch City of Angels.

that always gets me crying.

What's everyone's crying movie?

Oh man, haha, with summer.

Brother Bear, Mufasa's death scene in The Lion King, and uhm... City of Angels will do it, too.

..
I cried during Juno, and my mom knew I would when we saw it, because it brings back a lot of memories with my ex. It's a hard watch but I love the movie non the less.

Cubi, I cried during Juno, too. It brought back a lot of memories from when I was pregnant and going through the adoption process (mine's open, though, so I came home and e-mailed my son's family).

If I'm in a mood to cry, though, it doesn't take much. The movie I pick out is usually dependent on why I'm feeling like crying, lol.

And there's another one, too, but I can't think of it right now.

They're the only two movies I've ever watched that've made me cry.

I even teared up watching 'Avenue Q' at the London theaters lol.

i'm glad i found this post. i finally got to see philadelphia with tom hanks.
now, i don't know if this film was made for social or political reasons, but the humanity certainly comes through and it moved me so much! and when i heard the aching voice of neil young in the end i just couldn't hold it in no more! i was literally sobbing...

and i can't imagine how much this film must have helped begin the breakdown of the stereotypes that had surrounded the disease.

great film!

I'm not really one for chick flicks, but I do like the notebook and the ending always gets me bawling for a good half hour or so.

That one, and the end of Moulin Rogue when Nicole Kidman's character dies and Ewan McGreggor starts crying.

I guess I just find it sad when people lose their loved ones.

Oddly, Moulin Rouge! only gets me at the beginning (when he's typing and crying and the voice over says "the woman I love is dead").
Other than that, What Dreams May Come (sorta), the end of Sweeney Todd, the end of American History X, and the part in Juno a wee bit after Jason Bateman's character mentions his plans for divorce (but that was just the first time I saw it).
Yeah... I rarely REALLY cry during any of those, though. Just teeter on the verge of it. lol. Humanity fail. V_V

hmm theres not so many movies i can get to involved in, mostly they feel manipulative. i see them writing the story going 'no no we need a sad part now, lets kill someone off'. feels a little formulaic.

but my step dad died in a car crash, and it was a long time before i could watch those stupid fucking TAC ads on tv of someone getting thrown through their windsceen without choking up...
oh and bloody michael moore doco's, or actually a lot of documentaries do that to me!

Alpha Dog was so sad. I knew the kid was going to die because I read about it, but while I was watching the movie I just didn't want to believe they would do it.

1) Armageddon, when Liv Tyler has to say goodbye to Bruce Willis.
2) I Am Sam - basically all of it.
3) Moulin Rouge, when Nicole dies and Ewan is so, so sad. I mean seriously. That has to suck. The girl you love finally allows herself to be with you and then she DIES?! Ack. Rip out your heart much.
4) My Dog Skip - I cried in the theater when he found out his dog died.
5) Batman: The Dark Knight, at the end when Commissioner Gordon is talking to his son about why people need to hate Batman. (As a note, I was more sad when the Batmobile blew up than when Rachel died.)

Wow, I sure didn't think I was ever gonna post in here, but then I remembered a movie that made me cry. I give you: BEST OF THE BEST, best american martial arts movie of the 80's. Eric Roberts FTW! He is a good looking guy and his style in this movie in particular is awesome. I'm envious. He's not in this ending though. Short backstory: Dae-Han killed Tommy's brother in a match.

At the top of my list would have to be Ladder 49, probably.
I saw it 6 times in theater [yes, I know, dork] and I cried 4 of the 6 times. It's a very inspirational movie too.

I also cried during The Notebook at the end.

I'm sure there are others but I better get back to my movie in the other room. :P

Last movie I cried to must have been "juno" and "stay" (<- made me cry at least the last 30 minutes of the movie)

I have quite a few .

Most notable though, would have to be Moulin Rouge.

Everytime, without fail, despite knowing what's going to happen, I'm guaranteed to be in tears.

Other runners include : 'The Green Mile', 'The Machinist', 'Philidelphia' and oddly... 'Phantom of the Opera'...
