please do forgive me if there is already a thread like this, i didn't bother looking >_< anyway, i'm just curious about what people's occupations are. I'm a CNA (certified nurse's aide) and I work in a nursing home. I've been there for almost a year now.  |

I agree that the economy is in the dumps. If I didn't have the job I have, I don't know what the hell I'd be doing. Probably a part time job in the food or retail industry. I did both in high school, and I didn't like either of them.

I'm an administrator in a prison (I deal with paperwork relating to things like their sentences, parole etc). It's an interesting environment and I like my colleagues and my boyf works here too as a prison officer. The work itself isn't my dream job. However, eventually, when my son is older and the government's finances improve (so they start rehiring again), I'd like to train to become a probation officer so the work is more varied, more challenging and better paid.

I'm currently a student and unemployed (its close to impossible to find a job up here when you move up as late in the year as I did- but its ok, my parents would rather that I not work anyway).
When I graduate, Im going to get my masters. Hopefully then I will be finding an international organization to join so I can teach in places that really need it.

I used to be a teaching assistant for kids with disabilities but I've not long since moved into a new job for a rather large electronics company where I work as part of a fraud team. I get to catch fraudsters at work trying to buy lots of very nice expensive goodies with other peoples money. I was quite surprised at how often it happens and how little the people care when you catch them, some are quite clever, others are just plain stupid, and its quite funny when you get one of the stupid ones on the phone. It's by no means my dream job but hey, it pays the bills. -------------

Just realized I never replied to this one... I work at an international library supplier aka bookseller as the director's assistant aka right hand. Very versatile and fun job, even tho half of my co-workers are over 50. I am almost finished with my part-time course in jewellery manufacturing, currently working on my final piece and doing an internship. I am also an aspiring art student, hopefully a full-time one come next September *fingers crossed so hard it hurts* Previous jobs include: fitting room attendant, clothing salesperson, cosmetics salesperson and store manager, cash desk manager at a large fashion store, waitress and sandwich maker (in that order). ------------- I talk too much. |

Manager a of a store called Culture Craze. I love my job and who I work for I just hate the bums and stupid ppl I have to deal with all day long. It's a tiny store that sells body jewellery of all sorts and other odd kowl things. But it's in the middle of a mall down town. So can only guess what type of ppl try and come up and talk to me and ppl asking questions and questions about what is that and did that hurt; what is this used for and how do ya do that; why would ya do that. i work in an outbound callcenter in the philippines. selling websites over the phone is a hard job but i stick through it because i looooove this place! and i have so many great and cool friends here.
everybody who wants to travel or have any new experiences abroad should consider the philippines. great people, music/art, city life(manila is big and awesome), parties, beaches ETC.!
i have been here for a year and im leaving soon. but one of my highest priorities is to come back and spend a great deal, or maybe even the rest of my life here in manila! -------------

i work at the foe (fraternal order of eagles) as a janitor, bartender and assistnat manager. i dont enjoy being the everything girl there, but i enjoy most shows and good people. i am on the policy council for my daughters school, i concider it volunteer. i also help out in da calssroom. going to be getting my ass. in early childhood development and hopefully will be on at ahead of the curve soon! and i am a full time mommy, but its not a "job" to me. its just a wonderful thing i enjoy! |

I'm the Assistant Office Manager of a recruitment firm in the telco and broadcast industry. The fella is a Guitar Tutor and Studio Engineer. I have no work uniform whatsoever and neither has Matt. We can get as modded as we like ------------- well i might have somethin' to say about that, space man! |
