yup...

exactly what it says........

(this could get really ugly, maybe)

i have a kidney disease, Membranious Glomrulonephritis....

currently undergoing maintenance dosages of an 'experimental' chemo type medicine.... so i'm told, i'm one of under 30 people in the US that have had this treatment thus far...

as of two months ago, i'm in remission, but the drugs help it stay that way...

ok, so who else has something?

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome.

It's kind of a boring disease though... very common...

i don't have any diagnosed diseases or anything, but i'm pretty sure i have dysmenorrhea. not really a disease but a condition i suppose. doctors aren't very helpful with the young ones, i've come to notice. they overlook us and in my case pin it on "depression" when that's the last thing i would ever have. i assume they say it because of the way i look because none of the doctors know me well enought to say such a diagnosis.

I have an extreme calcium deficiency which causes my bones to ache so terribly that i cant move. If i forget to take my pills for even one day im in extreme pain. It took 4 years for them the figure out what was wrong with me!

I've been anemic since childhood. If I eat well enough, I don't have to take iron; but I am very rarely able to donate blood because of low blood iron.
I also take medicine for depression.  I have a few undiagnosed conditions {adult ADHD, PMDD}, most of them make me mentalHamster( I need to find a new doctor)

I'm also anemic, but bulimic!
I am diagnosed: Bipolar 1 w/rapid cycling, schizotypal personality disorder (differential for aspergers gahahahhaha I LOL'd when I found that out), EDNOS, sinus tachycardia.
STD free
MRSA free
HIV negative
etc.

i have de quervain's tenosynovitis in my right hand.

i also had superficial vein thrombosis in my right arm less than a year ago.

my immune system is absolutely pathetic.

when i was 19 i was put on beta blockers because my blood pressure was extremely high and i had to be seen weekly by a doctor in case i had a stroke.

i haven't had a mod for a year now because of all this and it makes me very sad i just want to get better so i can tattoo and pierce myself without having to worry about infection.

anemia runs in my family too, and i have had it and i assume i still do because i definitely don't get enough iron. i don't know if i officially still have it, however.

not really a disease but i've got low blood pressure or hypotension based on all the readings i've gotten from such tests. i'm like 80/60 if i remember correctly.

like i said officially i have no idea what is wrong with me, but some of you may know how much i battle with my period and just how poorly i feel on a daily basis by my journal entries. based on family genes i've got a lot of wonderful things to look forward to once i get older, like calcium deficiencies, ostioperosis, arthritis, high blood pressure, and possibly cancers. i'm a good candidate for the calcium deficiencies, ostioperosis and arthritis as is.

Throughout life I never had life-threatening diseaseas, but I was born with a brain hemorage(sp?) and as a result was paralyzed all down my right side, then I got pneumonia and my lungs collapsed.

When I was 12 I got appendicitis and had an appendectomy.

Right now Iv got nothin wrong with me, I probably dont eat enough or get enough of the good stuff though. And by lookin at my family history the only thing I can predict comin my way is male pattern baldness.. not cool.

I have raynauds which means the small blood vessels in the extremities like my fingers, toes and ears are over-sensitive to changes in temperature due to the blood supply being restricted.

It nothing that hinders me, just means I have cold hands and feet a lot.
Though when it gets to winter it can get quite painful.

I also have a vitamin B deficiency which I had to have a concentrated dose of injections about a year ago, and I have to have my levels checked every year and a "top up" every 6 to 12 months.

i haven't had many, nor even just a handful of near death experiences that i can recall. hell, i haven't even had a cavity or broken a bone. but i did almost die at birth, so i'm told. i guess when i turned in the womb during labour the umbilical cord got wrapped around my neck twice which resulted in an emergency c-section. turns out my mother was unable to give natural birth anyways due to her pelvis size.

I have PCOS which will later lead to some type of diabetes type 2 problem in the future if i don't take care of it. I can be anemic if i don't take my vitamins because i am a vegetarian, but I've been eating good lately so i think I'm cured of that. I also have ADD, and Dyslexia, which are learning disabilities but i gave up on taking medication for it because it made my heart race.

I have nothing wrong with me that I'm aware of but then, I also never go to doctors unless I'm getting my contraception switched so even if I did, I wouldn't know about it.

My boyfriend has a laundry list of things wrong with him. For instance, his breastbone cracks cause a landrover fell on his side, his knees are buggered, he has horrible back pains etc. And he has lots of genetic diseases in his family to look forward to as well!

there's medication for pretty much everything out there so it seems. mind you, the risks probably outweigh the benefits in many cases, but i bet there's a medication out there that i could take that would make me think i'm a dog if i wanted, without taking acid or mushrooms haha.

im not quite sure if theres med for dyslexia, i was talking about the ADD meds i took, but i would think there probably might be. I ended up taking all types of special help classes throughtout schooling when i was young like speech, cip, resource and all types of stuff to help my brain trigger the right way to see it. It helped but it was torcher, and very embarressing when i was young because i wasnt exactly at the same rate as my peers.

I dont have any conditions.. if someone can show me the sheet of paper the doctor signed to say "this person has OCD," I tell ppl to get a fucking life and stop bullshitting "oh I just cant leave the house without brushing my teeth," big fuckin whoop.
Also Id say Im gonna live quite a long and healthy life because of my overly laid back-ness. I really couldnt give a shit about anything really. The only things that make me nervous or on edge are football and ppl.

edit: and ppl explain what all these big words mean, they sound interesting lol

OCD is a disorder defined when its symptoms escalate to a point of chronic preoccupation - when they consistently consume more than an hour of each day.

only then have you really got OCD.

otherwise it's just being really particular about certain things.

Disthymia was about 2 years ago, hopefully it hasn't evolved into some deeper depression condition
Has asma as a child, rhinitis, and my eyes started to swell afterwards, all due to allergies that ended up manifesting as a pretty ugly and uncomfortable rah in different places of my body
Caught it late but under treatment now, so it's all starting to go back to normal

I have (and excuse the spelling) Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, which is weird because it doesn't affect your teeth, it's a muscular disease that affects my legs and hands. It explains why I walk heavy, and am very clumsy, and if I had it a tad more sever than what I do now, I would be in a wheelchair by my late 20's. It isn't fatal at all, just makes my life a tad bit uncomfortable, I wake up constantly in the middle of the night with odd leg pains, and in the mornings as of recently, I can't get straight out of bed because well, my foot muscles just dont seem to wanna work for a bit. It sucks but watcha gonna do. Oh, and I think I'm becoming depressed. Woot!

i'm not sure about real diseases, but i have low blood pressure, i only menstruate about twice a year, and i've been told that i have orthorexia (which i don't even know if that's real or not?) because i'm nearly fruitarian
i've also been thought to have seasonal affective disorder but the doctors couldn't properly diagnose me

I don't think I have a disease, that makes it sound worse, lol.

I currently have impetigo.. on my forehead (grr!) and it's spreading down my face - lovely.

I've had a water infection for about.. 8 months and been on countless anti-biotics. But, being preg, there's only one I can have now, and it's not  strong enough to completely cure it. D'oh.

I got rushed to hospital once with suspected TSS and now I'm on a "TSS watch list" even though it was tonsillitis!

I can't remember the name but I have a problem with my teeth - due to having chicken pox when my adult teeth were forming, they're now "soft" and have to be fischa sealed every few months, and no matter how much I brush/mouthwash/floss I have new holes in my teeth fairly regularly. I wish I could just have fake ones!

I was born with a hernia in my belly button, can still feel the hole in the muscle when I pinch it.

I also have joint problems, but no diagnosis!

Oh and, up until I found out I was preggers, I had high blood pressure, all the time. Pregnancy seems to have evened me out so the doctors pretty happy about that :D

Oh well, family guy is on now, so can't write no more!

Type 1 Diabetes (... not the one where you got it because you're fat/unhealthy, but the one where your body just doesn't make insulin at all)

Celiac Disease (allergic to wheat/rye/barley ... basically everything worth eating)

I think I probably have mild anemia because I was slightly iron deficient on my last blood test, and I'm tired quite a lot of the time.

I have a strong family history of heart disease, thyroid problems, and an assortment of cancers (breast and stomach - the stomach cancer was a symptom of the Celiac Disease, but no one knew that back in the day since it's just a relatively "new" disease).

Basically I should just run in front of a bus some day since I'm going to die of something on this laundry list some day. lulz

I was hardheaded about it too, for many years.  I refused to wear orthotics.  Then after my pregnancy 5 yrs ago and my condition worsened due to the whole change in balance w/the pregnancy - the doctors said I must wear the orthotics or risk not being able to walk at all down the road.  So I gave in...kicking and screaming of course.  Now I'm just glad I can walk, and not be in a wheelchair.  And I will fight being permanently wheelchair-bound to my last step.

i forgot to mention that the shit that my kidney disease has caused...

because of my autoimmune disease and the oodles of medicines that i'm on and have been on i also have:

chronically high blood pressure (my highest reading was 210/115, no shit)

a medicinally induce diabetic disorder, similar to type 1

extreme skin sensitivity to sun and UV rays (i get burned very easily now)

chronic pitting edema in my lower extremities that is being maintained with diuretics...

and i've developed an allergy to Cytoxan (an anti-organ rejection medicine)

ok, so that pretty well covers it...

when i was young (15-16) i was hospitalized 4 times for periods of about 2 months each with "possible" manic depression and attempted suicide (cutter)... the doctors kept me pumped full of meds and sent me on my way... years of therapy later, i'm off those meds and haven't had an episode for over two years now...

Type 2 diabetes is NOT always caused because 'your fat and unhealthy', that is just ignorant. It is a diagnosis that can run in a family, and you cannot help it just like heart disease and anything else you can get from genetics.

It occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin to meet the body's needs or the insulin is not metabolized effectively. Type 2 diabetes is usually treated through diet and exercise, although some people must also take oral medications or insulin.
- It can be cured through eating better and exercising, and you MAY be able to prevent yourself from getting it through eating better and exercise but it is not caused from that.

People with this problem have a reoccurring issue with trying to breakdown foods and store them into energy but instead it stores into fat, which causes the weight gain.

:] just so you know.

I Get headaches and migraines that can make me curl up into a ball can't do do anything but concentrate on my breathing cuase it hurts the least.

I have ADD, it's too the point where I'll be talking to someone and realize that I'm not paying attenion and tell them that in the middle of their sentence.

I am bipolar, but i have it generally under control. kinda.

I have quite low blood pressure, its a family trait.

I can't gain weight to save my life. might be a pituitary gland thing.

i have what I think is called weak man syndrome. so I will always work out as hard as I can but still only see flaws and weakness in myself. It doesn't sound that bad but, it really fucks with your head.

I didn't mean to be ignorant or offensive, however

Type 2 is when your body does not produce enough insulin OR it ignores the insulin being produced. In the second case, this is called insulin resistance. One of the most common factors that causes/greatly increases insulin resistance is being overweight. Diet and exercise will reduce this.

Perhaps I should not have made a blanket statement and explained myself better. Type 1 is where your body makes NO insulin, and therefore is not, in any way, caused by being unhealthy or overweight. No link whatsoever. Though, if I were to gain weight, I would also experience insulin resistance, however this is not what CAUSED my Type 1. I sure wish my diabetes could be cured by diet and exercise. I consider the Type 2's "lucky" in that regard.

Dude I weigh 9stone and 13pounds. My Mam guessed Im like her and said I must just have a hyper fuckin active metabolism. But we watched a show on ppl that cant gain weight. They sat the subjects down and fed them tonnes and tonnes of high protein food (good stuff o course not just crap). When they were finished they sent the subjects into another room where they could relax, watch tv, read etc etc. The one thing they realised about each and every one of the ppl is that they were all, despite being seated, being active in one way or another.
Most of them were constantly fidgeting and moving, like tapping their foot on the spot or their legs were jumping. Basically, they determined that the stuff from food that makes us gain weight is sent directly to muscles and we work it off without realising.

It should also be noted that while we were watching this program my feet were constantly hopping on the spot.. so yeah.. that's the explanation for why I'm so fucking small.

It should also be noted that while we were watching this program my feet were constantly hopping on the spot.. so yeah.. that's the explanation for why I'm so fucking small.

that doesn't really explain it for me though. i don't really fidget or move much when i'm sitting, yet i eat every hour or so because i can't let my stomach feel empty (it gets really upset and if i try to fill it at that point it feels even worse. it has been bothering me a ton lately). i don't ever work out either and i don't get out much. in your weight measuring terms i weigh six stone six pounds (ninety pounds). i assume it is just a really high metabolism though. my dad was really scrawny as was my aunt. my brother is too but he works out and is gaining muscle and stuff, but i can't gain a thing. in fact i weigh less than i usually do right now. it is crazy.

oh yeah, i'm not bulimic either. i keep that food down haha.

Yeah Im not bulimic, just puttin that out there. But for a guy who's goin 19 pretty soon, I really am fucking small. It gets to me ALOT. My lil bro is 10 and he's exactly the way I was at that age, but the kids give a hard time about his weight, there's no real way to console him because I know that like me, he's gonna be like that for a long time =/

yeah i know what you mean. i'm twenty and i still get teased, and i was throughout school too. people thought i had an eating disorder or i was just ill, even though my face shows neither (i've got plump cheeks). now it is the "in" thing it seems to be my size, but i'm not sure why. i look at my arms and my stomach and i think to myself "i'm too thin" a lot.

that and i get carded everywhere. everyone thinks i'm sixteen. i was out the other day and some woman at a cashier was going on about how her daughter wanted pierced and stuff and she was talking to me like i was some young kid who will completely regret what i'm doing, and then i said "i'm twenty" and she shut up.

In highschool I weighed 165 pounds (I don't know how to convert to that mutant form of weight you know as stones jkgreytongue ). I know weigh 172 pounds and I have been working out constantly since I was 17 (I'm 24 now). I should weigh at least 200 pounds easy.

haha I was bouncing my leg as I was reading posts.

14 pounds to a stone so... you weighted 11.7 stone when you were in high school. Now you weigh 12.2ish stone. So you were heavier than me when you were in high school, and now as well haha.

And yeah my legs hopping, it always is xO

I have degenerative disc disease, and it sucks balls.
I have all kinds of nerve damage in my pelvis too, which also sucks, but thats not anything to do with anything but the fact that I rode horses for 10 years competitivly and it fucked up by entire body.

More bipolar type I checking in. No psychosis, although I suspect rapid cycling even though it isn't part of my official diagnosis.

I used to write journal entries about it on here when I was having adventures with pharmaceuticals and finding the right dose, but I deleted them all while in a mood swing. :)

Physically, I'm in great health. Not really sure why cause I don't eat very well and don't exercise (apart from walking everywhere cause I don't have a car and looking after my toddler son) and drink a lot. I rarely get ill and test well on everything (lung function/blood pressure/blood sugar etc).

Mentally, I'm pretty fucked. It's been diagnosed as depression but I see it as a part of my instrinsic personality. I've been showing symptons for half of my life and had on and off dealings with the medical profession for the past ten years. I still manage to get up every morning, go to work and care for my son though. As long as I manage to do those basic things, I keep going.

egh sometimes i wonder if i've got something similar. i always feel hungry and i could eat a big meal and have to go back for more in a few minutes. plus if i don't keep something in my stomach at all times it will hate me, and will hate me even more when i try to put something in it at that point. it has been bugging me a lot lately.
