Hey guys

Ive been thinking about this for a while and reckon i may just have conjured up enough balls to actually do it... i chatted to my piercer today and he is able to do it wednesday for me.

i have some questions though, how much does it hurt? seriously?

whats the best healing tips and any other snippets of info please!

I can't speak for a normal horizontal industrial, but my verticle industrial hurt, but as always with piercing the really bad stuff is over in the matter of a minute. Healing sucks juat as any cartlidge does. The only advice i can really give is to baby it and keep up with your salt water soaks, you may not think it makes that big of a difference but it really does

good luck with you industrial

My industrial hurt abit, but only cos its two piercings ove after the other and its quite fiddly. I had mine done with two small bars first, let them heal for a few months then went back for the one longer bar, and i found it healed ok.

my piercer says he does them with a long needle to be sure to get the holes in the right place then uses a longer bar during healing time. i really trust him and think i want him to do it for me :)

indutrials do hurt. for me, more than other ear piercings. they usually bleed lots from what ive seen in people. and long needle is the best way to go because then youre sure they match up!

I got my industrial done last December and it was finally healed completely in January,
When the piercing is done yeah it hurts, but I found that the next couple days were the worst..
Cleaning it hurt to the point that I felt like I was going to be sick.
You can tough it out though.
good luck :]

mine were pretty painful. i'd recommend having separate pieces of jewellery worn during healing though, unless it is a PTFE barbell because a metal steel barbell would constrict the holes and possible cause troubles with healing. i tried many jewellery types before the things started to look up, and after three long years they had finally healed and stopped getting the "boils". now i've been stretching them a bit.

industrial piercings, as do many cartilage piercings, take a long time to heal, so even after months they may still get the "boils" and may still flare up, get red and be touchy. you need to make sure your piercer lines up the holes well because you won't be able to wear a single barbell if not, which is why i wear CBRs in mine (i never went back to him). if you want to go with the single barbell initially, make sure it is a bit longer than the ear itself to allow swelling, but if after a while you notice it still may not be healing, try a PTFE barbell. that helped mine.

do it! i can't imagine it hurting any more than any other ear piercing, which, if you pick an awesome piercer, aren't that bad at all. a crunch, a dull pain, a week of throbbing, and a few months of being careful about whacking it, and you're good to go :D
