What is a Supporter?

A Supporter is someone that really believes in the community and wants to help maintain it as a solid foundation in the world of body modification. Because this is a large community, it takes the help of many to keep it active and provide the value that it has. This is a way for me to show those that support us, and that are truly involved in making BodyMod.org the best it can be.

Right now, there are two ways to receive Supporter status. You can either upload a body modification video to the site, or be granted status by me for showing above-and-beyond support to the site. For every video that you upload, you will receive 30 days of Supporter status. This is done automatically by the server.

For those that go out of their way to show support for the site, I will grant this status manually as I see things happen. So far, I've handed out Supporter status for things link organizing BodyMod.org meetups, creating of tutorials to help out others around the site, and other pro-active reasons.


What do Supporters receive?

As a way of me to say "Thank you!" to those that help out, and show support. In return for Supporters help, they will receive a few enhanced features around the site. These include:

- Recognized Supporter status
- Personal profile gallery
- Removal of all Ads (which makes for faster browsing)
- Greater privacy


I will probably add more features as I come up with them and once I get the new swag ready (shirts and stuff), SUpporters will most likely get discounts.



How can I tell if someone is a Supporter?

You will see a little logo next to the persons name in the forums and on their profile page like this ->


What is a Personal Profile Gallery?

All Supporters will have the ability to add as many photos as they want to their profile gallery. These photos are displayed underneath their profile photo at the top. There are no restrictions on what can be posted here (mods, loved ones, silly photos, pets, etc)


What is the Greater Privacy?

I have built into the profile pages, the ability for Supporters to increase their privacy level to Supporters Only. This will allow only other Supporters to view their profile page. Also, I am working on integrating this feature into the mods. This will allow Supporters to set privacy levels on their individual mods to keep them viewable by only other Supporters.


I'm hoping that this will encourage people to get out their digicams and get some movies uploaded here and help create more events and value for the community. If you need help, just ask away in the forums. I know someone will be happy to help =)
