I agree that it will be abused, and it is a great idea, but needs a little more work. I was happy enough with just the delete button... if you don't like what's been said, get rid of it.

Some one else already pointed this out but it just happened to me also, there is a glitch in this user score thing! I was posting comments to friends then I was looking through a forum on killing mods and running the new IM on here and suddenly I was signed out? and when I came back on my site says I have 100% user score and suddenly I can't make comments anymore. I have been kind and respectful in every comment I ever made on here! So some help in this matter would really be appreciated!!!

Ok, I figured out how to get me up and running again! unless making an announcement and posting this previous comment fixed it.
since I knew it was a glitch of some kind and my user score said 100% I signed out, deleted cookies and signed back in. and I was then able to make comments again. hopefully this doesn't work for people who are truely being rude, if so please delete this comment!
