i've been trying to find a doctor willing to install a bone anchored hearing aid for me, even though i don't have a hearing problem.  to say it's been troublesome trying to even explain it to them would be putting it lightly.

i'd like to know if anyone here might be able to point in the right direction. it basically consists of a titanum screw that would be implanted behind my left ear, about 3mm into the mastoid.  Money isn't a problem, and depending on the location, i'd be more than willling to fly just about anywhere to get it done.

I would suggest contacting some of the members of the Trans Humanist movement. There are serious professionals in a variety of fields, including doctors who adhere to this personal belief.... that of using technology to augment humans.... it would be a place to start anyway.... if there is someone willing to do it.... I would bet they could point you in the right direction....

that is an amazing idea, I’m so impressed, it is a new one on me and to be honest I’m surprised, it seems like such a wicked idea, I think if it where made more easily available it would might become really popular.

Im sure there are transhumanists in the U.S. (im asuming thats where you are from) that would be interested in your idea, and willing to help.  You might have better luck if you can make the device first.  If someone came to me with this idea and already had the device i'd be alot more open to doing it.  If not then i might not believe how serious you are about really wanting this.

I am looking for a doctor, scientist or lab tech who could do such things, but no one wants to do things like that to me
