Sorry if similar posts are else where i couldnt see any.
Can I suggest that hardcord moders eg skinning mods, maybe leave a wee explanation with their pictures to what drives them to do it and what they hope to get from it. I know that no one needs to defend themselves and what they to to their body and im not saying otherwise.
its just to help those of us who are curious and know nothing about this type of mod

i dont have anything that realy hard core yet but i thing its because its something they saw and thought it was a realy nice peace of art and something they would like to have that would improve there body. but thats just me talking

by any chance are you talkin about the "cock skinning" photos. yes a description with them type of mods would help the people (ME!)who dont have a clue about that style of mobs

Really I think it is the same thing that motivates people to get tattoo's and such. I have a bit of scarring on my body and each one means something special to me. I also enjoy the experience as I personally believe it to be much more intense than tattooing. The healing part is fun. :)

if ppl are curious about the reasons behind the mods, why not just ask? assume your curiosity and go talk to the person!
if the modder gets bored on answering, he or she will post a comment explaining it once and for all....

that is very true i kept on getting things asked about my surfacebar necklace. i always answered there questions and that was about it.
i now when even i dont get why i ask

I've ask a couple of times but like you say it gets a bit much when your asked the same question all the time so I thought if they left a small description it would be helpfull to help people understand. fair enough some people has the same views on tattoos etc but tattooing has been around for 1000s of years so people have a bit of an idea but like the skinning mods etc i'd just like to know what drives the idea, do they have this need to do it in them or have they seen it somewhere and thought "cool i want that" sort of thing. Im not judging them or anyone, ppl have the right to do as they please to there own bodys. Its just that its a new type of modification and I'd like to learn the background
