bullet Topic: Most of you are making this site pathetic
    Posted: September/28/2008 at 3:42pm
BodyMod.org is supposed to be a bodymod website. It's boring to come over and over again to see people talking about everything but bodymods... games, cooking, orgasms, hatred, and if by miracle somebody starts talking about mods, it's stuff like  "is tattooing the whole face stupid" or "are tattoo trashy on females"... that is pure prejudice. Either funny, or pathetic. Yeah. Pathetic is the word.

By the way, dear Cheese moderator (or to any other moderator), since you'll quite probably think about moderating this topic quite rapidly, please tell me why you'd do it before you thought about moderating such topics like "is tattooing the whole face stupid" or "are tattoo trashy on females", which have been active over weeks.

The focus of the site is body modification, but that shouldn't mean strictly body mod talk only. Yes, there are some stupid threads, but I don't feel like it detracts too much from the site. You can still make your way around the off topic threads and find the answers you need.

Wow... Rouslan... maybe it's just that no one currently has any problems with their piercings/tattoos...???

I think this is a little harsh...  I mean, do you really think that insulting people is the best way to improve the quality of the forum posts?

Personally, I would rather see very little in the forums than see 6 "How do you gauge piercing?!" threads...

I haven't said myself that I expected the site to be 100% bodymod. But when it's 0% bodymod, the whole site is off topic. And when it's 10% bodymod and that those 10% are prejudice, it becomes offensive and pathetic.

Again, look above Chick. Look at the tattoo section. I answer to such kind of stupid questions all day long in the street. Is it so much to ask not to see that kind of stupid stuff here??? Ain't we supposed to have a forum moderator?

i guess the tattooing 2 topics that have been brought up, are to ask for opinions. i haven't checked them out myself, but from my own point of view, i'm not going to set up a new topic about body modification per se, since i am planning to have no new work over the next few weeks, and my mods are doing just fine.

perhaps people have realised that the Search feature DOES work. and are opting to look through the forums before posting new threads on topics that have been already discussed a LOT and the answer they're looking for is just a click away.

and hey, the non-modding topics have at least been posted in their appropriate sections.

I think thats why some of the oldest/experienced or whatever you want to call them members haven't been posting.
There is just nothing to post to.

That was my point. Glimmi, Kcir, me, Grundstuck, Krammer, most mods, Adam The Creator Himself, and many others. When you think about it, everybody is fed up to see that bs over and over again.

Ok. So here is my screen shot.
With red next to posts that are actually about mods. This is minus the first few bmod site errors, bmod updates etc threads.

The modding topics are certainly dominant.
Though I'm sure you'll pull this to pieces. Not sure why I bother really.
I'd also like to add that when when I first started using the forums here and you were a lot more active I was extremely hesitant in posting in the same thread as you, after watching you rip people apart over something they said.
The non mod topics all appear to be posted in the correct place and I know, they're not about modding and this is a modding site. But it's the same with most forums. There's always a games/general chitchat section and yeah, sometimes they're a bit over used, but it pulls the members here together as a community. People begin to know who's who around here. Whose advice is worth taking over someone elses, who is genuine and who talks out of their ass.

Edit:typo.
