I think you can block them from contacting you but not viewing your profile.
I just denied a friend request from a new member for the second time. They didn't say hi or anything, the only contact I've had with them around here was to correct some shakey advice they gave so I don't see why I should ad them. I'd already denied them once though, and they just requested again. I hope this doesn't continue.... yeah, kind of unrelated, but I just wanted to whinge.

I possibly have a few creepers in my friends, because I rarely ever deny a request.. I may remove you if you do something that makes me think I don't want to be associated with you, but as a general rule, i accept all requests, wether I've had contact with the user or not. (I think I'm supposed to be all polite and stuff...)

i get these requests as well, and unless they have spoken to me i tend to delete them.

Isn't it funny how people with no forum posts are desperately posting trying to find out what they have to do to be able to be a participating member?
Meh, I've deleted my nipples now, I just can't be arsed with the hassle.

I personally don't find it funny, I may be the one of the few that are actually here for the right reasons.
I know I don't have any mods, but thats why I'm here, research for the mods I do want. On a side note, I'm not restricted anymore, and got to view the videos I've been waiting to see. They were quite informative, and now I know more of what to expect.
