Topic: Need help with an idea

Going away to college in January. It will be first time out of the house, and i want something to symboliz moving on growing up. But I dont want somehing terribly cleshe (sp?) like a swallow.

Any ideas?

I don't know if you're a billy joel fan but....
One of his songs is called moving out(or something close to that)
You could have a piece of the actual music inked.

or another song that symbolizes moving forward

How bout a shark riding a bear attacking a nun? I don't think its cleashe lol and everyone at school will ask you about it.

i think a tree could be a good symbol for what you want, and that was also the first thing which came to my mind, but it was already mentioned.
what about a nice compass rose? it could symbolize moving and always finding back to your home...
