I've made a lot more updates to the site recently. Unfortunately for you, you won't notice most of the work I did =). I rewrote a lot of the old ASP files I was still using to .NET and cleaned up a lot of the code. I've also made a couple adjustments along the way.

The first one I redid, was the Kill-Vote system. For you, everything is the same. The only difference functionality wise, is that I added a Locking toggle switch for me (and soon moderators). This will allow us to override mod killing when necessary. There have been a few instance where a mod is killed multiple times when it shouldn't be, and I didn't have a way to protect them. Now I do =)

Another script I updated was the Buddy authorization and notification engine. Moved it all to .NET and added a new notification in the process. Now you will also receive a system notification when a requested buddy accepts the request. Nifty idea huh?

The last one is a whole new feature. Well, maybe "feature" isn't the right word. I'm tired, so please forgive the ramblings-ons. Anyway... I've added some toggles for you to toggle what you receive email notifications on. By default, you will receive them all, but should you not what to have certain ones (or all of them) to stop coming into your email, you can now turn them off. This setting is located on the "Edit My Profile" page (select it from the My BMod in the menu) on the bottom-right side under "Custom Site Settings". Click on the link labeled, "Toggle Email Notifications"

There are three types of notifications, Comments, Messages, and System. Comments are any and all comments throughout the site (right now, just Mods and Personal Galleries, but I'm going to add Profile and Journal comments soon). Messages are all your Private Messages that are sent from other members of the site. System are all the messages that are from the site (like buddy request messages). The only email that these toggles will not have affect on is the mass email that I send out every once in a while. I only send out maybe 6 a year (if that), so I don't see the big deal to write a ton of code to handle 6 emails.

Lastly, I've added a new Mod-erator. His name is Help. It's a system account that I have created that will stand in for all system messages and such. Don't bother sending messages or commenting to the profile, because it's really just a dead profile for automated stuff around the site.

Awesome I really hated the email notifications.

Awesome job Adam!! I've been waiting for the ability to disable email notifications. I don't care about receiving those mass emails you send out as I've been here almost a year and have yet to see even one lol so I think I could handle 6 a year. But yeah I've been waiting for this patiently so that my inbox isn't so cluttered anymore lol. Anyway thanks for all your hard work man. Love this place and it just keeps getting better all the time lol. Ok I should stop rambling now I'm a little high lol.
