I take mine out in the shower and clean them...never had a problem with funk as long as I take 'em out at least every few days.

i have just stretched to a 4g and i used to wear stainless(my ears kinda had a funk every once in a while....now that i have switched to horn they never smell..i wonder if it has to do with the material?

Hmmm. I wear plastics usually, too cheap for organics.
Plus I just prefer the look of solid block colour :)
I bought these gorgeous metal tubes from BAF.com, asked for 0ga., and everytime I take them out to put in, say, my red single flares, they're quite tight. :(

Someone told me to put a dab of diluted tea tree oil on my lobes to help with the smell, but all it did was make my ears itch. =/ And tea tree oil smells pretty funky by itself.
