I realize I don't have that big of lobes, but I've been asked by my friends who are new to stretching, how to stop the smelly lobes, and why mine don't smell.
Well! There's no real trick to it, but incase you were wondering also how to eliminate the smell, all you really have to do, is..
If you recently just went up a size... Wait til your lobe heals properly.
Then, all there is to it, is take the jewelry out when you shower, clean the lobes. Dry them up & Pop the jewelry back in!
Presto! Smell-Be-Gone.
:D!

I tried that back in the day and it didn't work for me. :( I guess I'm just cursed to have smelly lobes...BUT I have just started using vitamin e oil (which doesn't smell the best in itself!) maybe that will have some type of effect on me. :) Thanks for the advice anyway hun!

the funk is a build up of oil and dead skin and the smell is the waste the bacteria makes when feeding off of it, kinda like sweat, organics absorb and help eliminate the smell as well
Ah ha-ha, chess. The ancient contest of wits. Two opponents: mano a mano. Braino a braino. And look: magnets for ease of travel. You could play chess on the moon.

Thank you for the advice. This is a problem for me to. Nice to know that I'm not alone with this problem. I thought maybe this was an unusual problem. That something was wrong with my lobes. But I'm a little afraid to take mine out. Is it easy to put them back? Never done this, and I'm kinda new on this. Stretch three times and are on 6 mm now. About 6 weeks since last stretch, is it safe to take them out now?

it should be fine to take them out now! but i wouldnt leave them out for too long as you may have trouble putting them back in.

I take mine out in the shower every morning and wash them, and I wash them in the evening too, and my ears don't smell.

And when I wore organic jewellery there was no funk ever.

I have these handy little make up removal wipes that have tea tree and peppermint oil in them to keep your skin clear; I just use those every other day, works a charm!

Edit: spelling

Glimmi says: But yeah theres that old saying you can't judge a book by it's cover, cause it could have like 60 piercings in it's cock......Well that's not how the saying actually goes but you get my point.

My ears have been at 2 gauge for almost a year, and they still smell like dirty cheese. I clean them every day in the shower. They don't reek, but they don't smell like roses either. I have metal tunnels in.
