so ive been stretching gradually for afew months now.. the first stretch to a10g was really painful but the rest have been fine.. im up the 6mm and hte next size up i have is an 8mm i just tried to put it in and was given alot of pain by my earlobes..
i have always gone slowly with my lobes and go by the rule 'if it hurts your doing it wrong' so i dont know what im doing wrong i put the 6mm in on the 12th of august. so its been nearly a month.. does anyone have any ideas as to why i cant get the 8mm in? do you think it has something to do with my lobes just not going any further? |

How long has it been since the last stretch? Have you tried using tape to go up gradually?

I'm sure if you were to go to homeone or Bunnings you could find plumber's tape, or "threadseal" tape, or "pipefitting" tape. As long as it is the white teflon tape with no adhesive you'll be fine.

id say just leave em in for a wile longer, some people just arent as stretchy as some and might just take longer for yours to loosen up, also it could also be a build up of scar tissue, also like toehrs say try using tape to stretch, sometimes peoples ears cant go well at 2mm at a time and this way it will be nice and minimal

yea your probably best leaving them a while longer. i had to leave mine for about 2 months or so before i could go from 6mm-8mm because my ears took ages to loosen up. takes different amounts of time for everyone but the general rule is a month a a minimum. good luck.

Wait longer time (at least two months between every stretch) and go to 1g(7mm) before. you can find 1g jewelry on some site, bodyartforms.com, bodyjewelleryshop.com and wildcat.co.uk too.
Anyway as already said tape is better for your ears. Wrap a layer or two every two or three days and you'll reach the desired size. |
