I want to have my body posed and plasticized, and put into a spring-loaded grave, so that when people get close to read my epitaph I spring out like a zombie. I may need to be buried in Bermuda, where they have above ground graves. . .

I don't really give a shit what happens to me when I'm dead-DESPITE the fact that my father is a mortician. (You'd think I'd have all these plans).
However, did anyone see the exhibit Bodies? We had it here at the Carnegie Science Center where I work. |

Well I'm gonna get a tattoo of a BUTT, with a BUTT-shaped tattoo on it, and I'm gonna get it right on my BUTT. That would be cool.

I'm on the organ donor list and give blood when they'll let me.
I'm pagan but want a humanist cremation with Scott scattering my ashes places we liked going to together like Inverbeg. There are too many different religous belifs in my family and Scott who means the most to me is Atheist and I wouldn't want anyone feeling any religous pressure. |

I'm sorry to hear that :(
I am an organ donor, I'm not over bothered what they do with my body when I die. If they do take my organs, I wish to be cremated. If they can't take my organs due to it being too late etc, I want to be buried. I strongly believe that I only want to be buried whole...
And as for my stuff, my friends would have it. My family can have my debt (You can see the good relationship I have there)

Funny you mention funerals.. I have one or two requests...
From my journal [This entry is if I die while I'm still young and everyone I know is still around.]8/15/2008 9:16:00 PM I have bits and pieces of my funeral mapped out. I know I'm going to die sooner or later (hopefully later), so why not have a couple of requests ready? Besides, you can't spell funeral without "fun"! I don't want to be cremated (though fried Filipino does sound strangely tasty). I want my corpse to be stuck in a white coffin. Feel free to bring whatever you would like to make your mark -- sharpies, paint, markers, whatever. Write something down for me. Whatever you want to say. Proclaim your hatred, tell me you always loved me, let me know that you'll miss me or that you're so glad I'm finally gone because I'm a douche. Draw a big Penis. Or something more artistic. It's up to you. Draw a twisty mustache on my corpse. That's my personal request. I don't want "A selection of classical Piano masterpieces Vol.2" on CD to play on repeat. I don't want my guests falling asleep at my funeral. If any of you fall asleep at my funeral, my ghost is going to follow you home and glue all of your furniture to the ceiling, tilt all of your paintings/pictures to the side, turn your posters upside down, and be generally obnoxious. It's the simple pleasures in the after life. :) To counter your desire to sleep through my funeral, I have the beginnings of a play list ready for your listening pleasure. I'm still adding to it. Most of the songs will have a certain memory attached to it. Maybe I'll put the significance of each one on a sheet of paper to be distributed amongst the guests. I'll list off a few in no particular order: 1) Journey - Don't stop believin. As soon as the piano intro starts up, I'm guaranteed to have at least six people chuckling (This is for Phil, Cyndi, Daniel, Cori, JoJo, Calli, and Luiz). They'll remember all the times we got drunk in Phil's garage, and then Jon belted out this song with the utmost passion and intensity. My corpse will be smiling because I know a few people who absolutely loathe Journey. What are you going to do, walk out? I thought so. :) 2) The Foundations - Build me up buttercup. For my cousin Sharlene. "why do you build me up (build me up) buttercup baby just to let me down (let me down)." This should put a smile on her face. Or make her bawl. Whatever. 3) The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody. My mother absolutely loves this song. I think it's her favorite. I think she'd like to hear it. :) 4) The Beatles - Let it be. This is for all of my family. Paul McCartney's mother had died when he was fourteen. McCartney had a dream about her which then inspired him to write this song. She said to him "It will be alright, just let it be," which is the same message I'd leave with everyone. I hope dearly that when the time comes to share (stories, things you remember about me, etc...) that people will step up and say something. I can't be so unloved that nobody has a funny story to share about something stupid we did together. I'm already dead, I doubt I'll be all that embarrassed. So go ahead and speak your mind. My soul will appreciate it. And when you're all back at my parents' house, eating cake and telling my mother that "I'm in a better place" and "if there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask," please remember me and how much I would like a piece of your cake. No, I don't want a piece of my own, I just want a bite of yours! |

I heard about this option a few years ago & ever since, that is what I wanted. But the one I was thinking of is where they can add color in with your ashes (like those simulated stones that they add foil to make it shimmery)...since I'm a jewelry hound & love purple, I want purple added to mine, cast into tear drop shapes, & set in silver (people in my family tend to be sensative to gold) & given to a few relatives...not sure who yet. I asked my parents if they wanted to be made into a matching set of ear rings, or pendants of some sort, but they were too grossed out. My mom wants to be cremated & my dad wants to be burried.
As far as funeral...I want people to party & celebrate the life. I will donate all organs wanted. And my stuff...I have one cousin that will get all the jewelry and any of my old toys, the rest will be donated if my family doesn't want anything.
