![]() Topic: Really quick stretching...Posted: August/30/2008 at 3:17pm |

I would like to first point out that stretching this way can be very damaging and should absolutely not be done. Anyway, I was talking to someone I know and they went to a shop to have their lobes stretched. The piercer at the shop asked how big he wanted them, and he told him he wanted them stretched to 4g. So, he did... from 16g, all at once. The stretch was "successful", I suppose, because later he continued to stretch to 00g, though they look overly deformed when the plugs are removed. He said it hurt a lot and for the next few weeks they were very swelled, but other than that it was okay...So I'm wondering why didn't it just completely rip his ears? Of course, he could have had the sizes mixed up or have been lying to me. But his next story is one I know to be true...
This other guy I know, 76 years old, had always wanted pierced, stretched lobes. He took a 3/4" deer antler piece and went from nothing to 3/4" on each lobe. Now, being older he may have had really fleshy ears, more elastic skin, and been on who knows what kind of pain medication, but his ears didn't just rip apart...
Does anyone else have such stories?

That's really messed up.
Although, I've seen a video on youtube of a guy getting his lobes pierced with a larger gauge (6,4 or 2 - no idea) and immediately stretched up to 00. |

Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run there's still time to change the road you're on.

I don't see how his lobes could have made it going that fast, i guess they were just lucky..

No, he pierced them with the antlers and pushed them all the way through, left them in a while until he found some 3/4" tunnels.

Have you ever seen his lobes naked? |

He hasn't taken them out since he did it, the tunnels. I haven't seen him for a few months... since February at least. Before he did it I did though. They were thick and puffy before, so maybe they were a bit more elastic...

I was just curious if he hadn't had a massive blowout or insane rip.
I've seen people with HORRIBLY ripped ears that were hidden by their jewelry. |

If you pierce and stretch, the fistula isn't formed, so it is actually less dangerous than stretching a healed piercing too fast.
But thats a massive stretch.. needles come in big sizes! scalpelling would be easier.. Dermal punching is a no because it removes tissue you could use for stretching. (Dermal punching is great for cartilage though!) |

The only thing that really surprises me is that he didn't rip his lobe in two with the antler. You can in fact stretch huge amounts without tearing the lobe in half. I wouldn't suggest it, but it can be done. 16 to 4 is a huge jump, and will likely not be very happy with further stretching, but I am not surprised that it was done.
