So, I'll try to keep this short.  I've been thinking about getting a certain tattoo for close to a year now.  It's suppose to signify the end of this whole, weight loss journey I've been on for the last two years.  But recently I've become worried about how the tattoos will look on my skin.  They're completely dark so I'm not sure how clearly they'd be seen.  Would it be better if I chose a different color perhaps to make them like red?  I'm going to upload pictures of me and the tattoos I want to get for comparison.  They're the borneo roses on her shoulders.  Any input would be amazing, thanks.  Oh and ignore the wrecked bathroom it's going through construction.

black on dark skin looks fantastic i think, lthough it would be neat to outline them in red
Ah ha-ha, chess. The ancient contest of wits. Two opponents: mano a mano. Braino a braino. And look: magnets for ease of travel. You could play chess on the moon.

those borneo roses would look fine on you.  your skin is light enough black will show through fine.  go to an artist that has experience tattooing dark folk though, your skin has to be tattooed in a different manner, due to the keyloiding factor.   i'd ask to see at least one healed one in their portfolio.

for you myspace style phototakers....it helps if you turn the camera on yourself and then use the mirror to aim instead of the other way around. :p

white ink doesn't show up as white on all people.  it's not like putting white-out on your skin.  it works with the skin tone and coloration, and sometimes it doesn't appear correctly at all.  like i said, an experienced tattoo artist can give you good advice.

My skin is as dark as yours and my black tattoo looks pretty good.
