It's not the fall that matters. It's the landing.

That was very interesting , thank you for sharing ! With a lot of things we do even just living there are risks ! The people involved seamed to have a very responsible approach to the accident , and did what they needed to do !

shit happens, they had paramedics on hand, nobody died
True they miscalculated dynamic loading, but in truth, what is a broken leg in the entirity of suspension history? When is the last time you watched a rodeo, race, football game or host of other risky activities that didn't result in SOME injury. We go up knowing we can be hurt, and know that it takes only a mild oversite for injury to occur....we do it anyway so learn the lesson, and move on, it's not that big a deal, and I don't agree that there will be any huge backlash from this, we watch people do crazier shit on fear factor and other such tv shows, all the time its performance....performers some time get hurt....anyone remember Evil Kinevil..... that dude was busted up more than a mess of rocks in a stone quarry..... nobody ever made motorcycle jumping illegal |

yup i agree with Montana, accidents happen, thats what makes things so thrilling sometimes, people know the risks when they get into (or atleast i hope they do)

Ah ha-ha, chess. The ancient contest of wits. Two opponents: mano a mano. Braino a braino. And look: magnets for ease of travel. You could play chess on the moon.

Sure, accidents happen and mistakes are a human flaw... But this was an accident that could've been avoided (theoretically ofcourse ) And i would think that a suspension is thrilling enough without the idea of possibly crashing down 12 feet and breaking a leg ^^ |

nothing and no one is flawless, and mistakes in hindsite always look glaringly obvious
what do you do for a living? ever fucked up? did you need someone grinding it in saying you should have known better? no, it accomplished nothing but hate and discontent. Few people understand the pressure on a suspension team in a crowded, loud, dimly lit public even. Let them lick their wounds, you can bet damn sure they won't make that mistake again, and let them get back to what matters..... hookin and hangin Oh, and this is a 'mechanical failure' that happened to me at a BodyMod.org event. One of the d-links gave while the girl was thrashing on the hooks. I got her down before we dropped her, but it was close.....damn close I took the lesson, and got back to it.... http://www.youtube.com/v/a7RV9UJcaKQ&hl=en&fs=1 Edited by MontanaPiercer - August/23/2008 at 12:54am |

Oh that made my tummy hurt watching the clip of him falling! He's lucky he only broke a leg...from that high up he could have done some serious damage.
