it could just be what your using just isn't strong enough of that you have it in too dilute a solution I learned form a DIY scarification piece I did on myself that if you want the mark to be as noticable as possible you need to cut or burn it as well as you possibly can BUT I am not a professional and have limited knowledege on the subject so you would be better off try to consult this witha more experienced person
