hrm, i prefer to let my cuts beathe unless they're in a high-contact area.  bandages tend to harbour bacteia and can get stuck to the healing area.

Every time I view this thread all I can think of is "Fight Club" lol.

I've always thought that looked great in fight club, but I doubt it would leave the beautifuly shaped scar in real life... oh well.

CheeseStix, the guy was crazy remember? or i'm thinking of a different movie. The guy talking to him was himself. So, maybe, he decided not to try to be a badass and make himself a pretty butterfly.

Like this... I can't tell if it's badass or not...

Yep,he was crazy, multiple personality type craziness.Everything that happened to him, was done by him, to himself.

With Chemical Branding it is hard to get well shaped/defined scars. There is a section for it on BME, albiet a small one.

I remember a doctor of mine once telling me that to prevent a scar from becoming noticeable, that I should keep it out of the sun. Maybe if you sunned or used a tanning bed on what you want to scar over would work better?

darkening the skin around the scar will set it off more, but it's probably not healthy to tan it while it's healing.  it may irritate the chemical burn.  i'd imagine healing a chemical burn is very different to cautery burns, but i dont have enough experience to offer help on that.  this is not an amateur mod, there are severe health repercussions if something goes wrong.  if you dont go to one to have it done, at least consult someone with experience in this procedure about which materials are safe for prolonged exposure to human skin.
