I've got a question, has anyone expirience with Acid wound instead of scalpelling the skin?
I've tryed to pour some acid an my skin to get some kind of removal or scarification but it heals to fast.... my mean problem is that normal cut's heal to good to reveal scars, so i wanted to get 'em by an other way.... are there any expiriences with that ? greez |

Everything is healing too fast because you need to aggravate the wound, so it can't heal. Personally, I suggest Vaseline, mixed with sea salt (till it's chunky and gross) spread on the wound, then cover it with plastic wrap. After 8 hours, take it off, if there's any scabs, dip a soft toothbrush in peroxide, and scrub them off. Clean it really well with an antibacterial soap, then re-apply the salt and vaseline, plastic wrap, etc.
Keep doing this and changing the "dressing" every 6 to 8 hours for about a month... Worked for my flesh peel, I love it. Edited by CheeseStix - August/22/2008 at 9:03am |

i tryed this but see its like i never get any sightable scars....only after burnings...so i have to get a branding, or find a way of remove the skin so increasingly that it cant heal the way it normaly does!
so ....i use Salicylic acid and superglue!...it works quiet well.,....maybe 3 or more sessions to go but it works.......maybe itz hurts a bit more than the other way... but.....you know... |

Have you tried flesh peels (even small ones) as opposed to cuttings?

some flesh removal should work nicely. if not, make sure the cuts are deep enough. i usually toothbrush mine in the shower and peroxide them every time i wash them (every 20-30 mins for the first week, 1-4 times a day for the week after) pick the scabs and be mean to it.

Just when you say be mean to it. I love how on every other modification you got to listen to you're body. When it comes to scarification, yeah you listen to it and tell it to "Shut the hell up." Gah, I love scarification wayy too much. Edited by SteveSirenic - August/22/2008 at 4:51pm |

I know this isn't too important in this context but lye is actually an alkali which is essentially the polar opposite to an acid, it would still give the same results though I'd imagine. Also I wouldn't recommend using acid or alkali to chemically burn yourself because they need to be dissolved in water to work and when it comes to washing it off initially the water will actually make it burn more (you may even get heat burns from it as well depending on the type of acid used and the amount of it) and will just spread it until it's diluted enough. |

General aftercare is taking the bandage off, cleaning it with antibacterial soap, putting peroxide on it, and then covering it again, airtight.
That's what my friend used for his flesh removal scarifications and they turned out great. |
