I have a small amount of white ink in me and it's stayed white but I am very very pale. The stuff in my leg is Starbright ink and is still nice and white but it is only accents and I'm not sure whats in my cover up, it's still pretty damm white after 6 years.

i think mine is because the white is on a forearm tattoo that gets tanned I'm hoping it will go back to white when the tan goes away.

Hum... I would be hesitant to get something in white because the results are so variable (especially with my skin).  But some of those pieces are really nice looking.

Whats the difference between white ink and UV ink, apart from the obvious UV glows under UV lights.
Is the look the same? Someone just asked me, and i have no freaking clue.

Id like a white ink tattoo, but like bekki, im kind of hesitant...

i actually like the results for white ink tattoos regardless; i like the bright white (looks like its most common on very pale skin) and the scarred look as well.

will definately be looking into that for my next tattoo. :]

From what I've seen, UV ink 'disappears' after it's healed, meaning you can't see it, except under a UV light. White ink is visible in regular sunlight.

Thanks for all the replies! I've contacted just about every major tattoo artist in San Diego asking them if they are experienced in working with white ink, and if so, would they give me a white ink tattoo, and so far they have all said no, or not replied. =/

It's looking like I will have to travel to get this tattoo. Does anyone know of any good white-tattoo artists around San Diego or Los Angeles? I live in San Diego, but I am willing to travel a couple hundred miles to go to an experienced tattoo artist.

Oh, and I'm pretty damn pale, and I lack the ability to tan. Seriously. So from what I hear I shouldn't have issues with the color changing, but you never know. Besides, I like the 'scar' look that some white tats have.

Is there a way to mix a white ink with a white uv ink so it shows in regular sunlight AND glow under blacklight? Just asking, you know..tattooes are not really my field of knowledge and I still have a lot of time before I can get them done anyway.
