I'm finding getting tattoos addictive, as soon as I'm getting one done I'm thinking about another. Is this normal? I adore how they look, I love getting them done, the pain, the smell, the whole experience. I don't want to be covered though, I get enough looks as it is! I'm not getting any for others, it's something very personal to me.

i got 1 knowing that if i wanted to carry on the pattern of zodiac signs, i could.
i told myself i would only get the 12... now i'm finding ways of getting even more whilst keeping some form of pattern. if you set yourself a limit, you'll only go past it lol |

Even as I am being tattooed, I am thinking about getting another one. It is normal, well, as normal as anything in the body modification culture, that is.

I remember on the day of my 1st tattoo i was a little apprehensive the 10 last seconds before entering the parlour.. But then the second he started working the needle on my arm i knew i was addicted.. I have needle lust, I can't stop it, and I keep wanting more.. i have lots planned and many already designed.. only issue is money at the moment.. but i've saved for my sleeve !

it's very addictive... i actually have my first 7 tattoos decided on. i only have one done so far because of lack of money and parents paying for college and not wanting me to get any more right now.
but yeah... it's totally normal. i would never get one for a pure aesthetic purpose or find and image that i like and twist it to mean what i want it to mean. all my tattoos will have a theme and hopefully i can incorporate a similar artistic quality in each of them that will suggest that they go together. so i'd personally plan out your next few tattoos before going forward. |

Yeah, it's addictive!! Just like getting piercings. You think that getting a mod will satisfy your craving for a while, but in reality it'll only get worse... :-)

tattoos are properly addictive. I swore after my second that I wouldn't get any more done and just over a year later I got a pretty big piece on my back. Again I swore that I wouldn't get any more and now I'm planning my next one. I think it's just as well for me that tattoos cost so much as I'd probably be almost covered by now if I could afford it.
