the first picture of the revolver shows what some shading looks like healed and theres others below it but they're mostly fresh cuts. Thorsten Sekira is a really good artist that awesome that you had him as an artist. did he do your koi? |

Yeah, he did both my cuttings; the koi aswell as the skull. The skull was a quickie, as we did it for a tv show, so we only did the important outlines.

Brian Decker. I saw him do 2 incredible scar pieces on my friend Chris. He's done an implant on me and pointed my ears. He's cleaner than a doctor, he's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and he's damn good at what he does.

I have to say hands down Wayde Dunn is the best in the biz.

Personally, I would only get Dave Gillstrap again. But if Dave isn't available, I'd get Wayde Dunn. Wayde seems to be getting much more work in his portfolio these days.
I wouldn't recommend Lukas Zpira unless you're looking for a custom Zpira piece, which are usually abstract lines and shapes. For fine-line images, go for Dave or Wayde. For more photo-like images (shading, etc.) Brian Decker is amazing. I can't comment on the others, since I haven't been paying as close attention to all the artists like I used to, but I will say that the more work a scartist does, the better they get and the better they are. Try to go with a mainstream artist and LISTEN TO EVERYTHING THEY TELL YOU ABOUT aftercare! No questions! |

Shawn O'hare a member here has an impressive scarrification portfolio as well. The biggest thing you have to remember is that the most important part is how it looks after it is healed. Alot fancy techniques don't heal so great but I must admit they are pretty amazing while fresh.
