yea thanks glimmi i did forget to mention the issues of what to wear in fresh stretches, but in settled stretches i still think organics are the best but thats personal opinion as they have worked wonders in my lobes
also with the vynyl tape the dhesive is a bare minimum and doesnt run in my lobes so its nice, and it stays moist too and reussable if you take care of it, its akso affordable since i get 5 rolls for 4 bucks

oakbear- no need to worry about sounding picky, you did give advice that i forgot and between me you and glimmi looks like we got the stretching FAQ pretty much covered haha maybe we an piece it together and submit it to be posted on the site for everyone to access

this is gonna sound kinda stupid coming from some one with 36 piercings, but why stretch? i know some people do it cuz it is trendy. but i can see that many people on here probably don't do it for that reason. so like what is the appeal of stretching your piercings? i am not trying to be rude, i would just like to know.

Oh in settled stretches organics are amazing! As for vinyl tape I had no Idea you could use that guess you learn something new every day.

Maybe you can edit your original post and include the information oakbear and I provided and then pm a mod or adam and have this thread ade sticky in the piercing forum?

to me, its very calming, its deffinitly a spiritual feeling to me, it feels so good to stretch and when i have to adapt to my piercing it feels so rewarding, i do though love how it looks lol, but i also want to push the lmits on my body and see how far i can go, even if i pass the limits of no return

i acutally ask myself a similar question "why not stretch" haha i dont have a single piercing that isnt stretched and i dont like the feeling of tiny piercings in me, the smallest piercing i have is now a 0g

Uraniumhobo - I think we're getting there for an FAQ! Hopefully people will post more questions. Perhaps we need a new thread for them?

Icka Byte - I'm kind of addicted to stretching now, and don't have anything at the original gauge.

Obviously the aesthetic is a key reason.
I prefer the look of plugs to bars, or big bars and rings to little cheese-cutter ones.
i also like the modern primitive look.

A lot of piercings feel more comfortable to me at bigger gauges.

Another reason is the sensation of stretching which i enjoy, and a buzz of having a bigger mod is a lot like getting a new piercing.

It shows a commitment to my mods and the reasons behind them.
Often stretches take a mod beyond the point you can return to 'normal'.

And finally (being honest) i guess it is a bit different.
It sets me apart from Joe Public who has a lip piecing or whatever.
When all's been said and done, it's the things that are given, not won, are the things that you earned.

i also enjoy pushing the limits on my body. but going beyond the point of no return scares me. i mean i have some tattoos but i like piercings better just cuz you can take em out if you get sick of them. and i have yet to regret any of my tattoos.
i guess i understand stretching it's like the same shit as me being addicted to "more" when it comes to piercings. i don't like stretching any of my holes though i prefer for my holes to stay tight. hahaha.
actually my bottom ear it like a 12g but i didn't have to stretch it to that persay i just like to wear heavy earrings....and i fell in love with these 12g tunnels that just so happen to fit. so it worked out nicely :)

thanks for the response

going to the point of return scares a lot of people, even i tend to be a little iffy at first but then it becomes more of a calling, a chalenge, but mostly, an adventure :) we can put it like this, people like me venture beyond to let those who are to scared know what its like, and maybe they will feel more confident, maybe they will realize that its not for them, but it has to be done eventually haha

wtf honestly, i am hoping people have been more informed about streching since 2004 lol

and yeah i do have a blow out in my left ear but it wasn't from me stretching to fast or neglecting them, i got punched in the ear at a club

some people in the uk don't like piercings

There's one problem with reality... There's no background music
