I'm looking to get my breasts tattooed, it's not a spur of the momnet thing, I've been thinking about it for a long time now and want to go ahead with it.

I want the designs to cover my lower breasts and encircle the nipple but still be hidden during everyday.
Not sure about colour or black and white, and if they will fade significantly over the years. anyone any advice or pointers?

Thanks, Jane

Depending on the size and shape of your breasts, you may have a higher risk of complications like excessive scabbing, rash, and fading on the lower part of your breasts if they rub on the skin beneath.  If you are on the smaller side, and your breasts don't rub, I don't think you need to worry about anything.  The rubbing and sweating will be the most concern for you, as well as wearing a bra during the healing process.  If rubbing may be an issue, I would recommend that you wear a snug (but not tight) cotton sports bra during the healing process and change it twice daily.  This will prevent your breasts from rubbing as well as help keep you comfortable.  And the cotton will be better for you than the material that some bras are made of.  If you are smaller and you don't have to worry about rubbing, you may be more comfortable without a bra.  If the movement of your breasts hurts, though, try the sports bra.

Some fading is inevitable, but if you baby your tattoos, you shouldn't have more fading that any other area of the body.

you might want to give your doc a call and see what they think. the breast tissue is  different  and getting a tattoo there is not the same as it would be for men, so it would be best to check to make sure that there is no special risks or complications that you should consider before going through with it.
