Hey guys,
Does anyone know of a way to fix my left lobe as i've got a pretty bad blowout in it. It hasnt happened all at once, just gradually, and just now after stretching to 22mm i have noticed that its pretty bad. I've thought about surgery, but that can be costly. Does anyone have any ideas/experiences to share that could help me out. Here are some pics to give you an idea of how bad it is lol.
Cheers.

Fuck me! Doctor first, then think of whether to have surgery.

Ouch, for the most part blowouts will only fix (And sometimes it doesn't even work) if you downsize immediately... If you opt for surgery then your lobe will be a bit thinner though because of the amount of flesh missing...
Why don't people take their time when stretching... bleh... eatenplacenta probably has a lot more info on this, and unfortunately BME wiki has quite a bit of info if you don't mind going there. As always there are people who know a lot more than me so don't just take my word for it. |

Its bad but I have seen worse. I had one blow out on my ear just from pushing to fast to get to the next size. Of course this was my own fault but I have done a number of things and now its been reabsorbing back into my lobe. I would recommend downsizing and oil rubs preferrably vitamin e oil or emu oil which works the best. When puting your jewelry in go through the back side to help the skin go back into the main lobe. Patience is whats needed for blowouts it might take half a year to six months to completely reabosrb. For the most part oil rubs will do wonders that and since its recent downsizing. -Anthony
p.s. ask eatenplacenta she knows more about me in this field as well

my right lobe has a blowout but its not painful and actually hold my plug in better. and it didnt occur from rushing cos i took my time [3 years] to get from a standard 14g to my current size [24mm]
give it time, take care of it, and if its not painful, just choose jewellery that'll make it less noticeable |
