First, I want to say thank you to everyone that's helped make the site grow to where it is today. BodyMod.org started out over three years ago as "something to do on my day off" and on a good day we were getting about 2-3 new members a week (and I was excited about it =). From what I remember, we only served about 10-15MB of data a day (which I thought was a crazy amount...). To say that we've grown, would be a drastic understatement. We now get about 150-200 new members every day, and serve anywhere from 7-8GB of data a day!  Out member population has grown to about 33,000 and we're not slowing down.

With all the changes that have taken place around the site, I really feel that we are not the same site that was created 3 years ago. That's why I'm announcing that we are officially BodyMod.org v2.o. And that only thing left that hasn't really been tweaked was Skully. Our faithful little mascot that has served as an icon for us for a long while. So today, I'm releasing Skully v2. I really wanted to brand our site with in a way that said, "hey, we are bodymod!" I also have a strong attachment to Skully, and didn't want to just ditch him. So I've dipped him in some Toxic Ooze and he came out like this =) I feel that Skully is now ready to take on the world with a "Fuck Yeah!" attitude! I am working with some people now to get some shirts and such made (black of course). Who wouldn't want to have an Ooze Skully on their back?

I've made up a couple new wallpapers with the new Skully, and am also releasing the full black and white image so that you can do whatever you want with him.

I will also put this out... For up to the first 2 people (that post to the site) that get a tattoo of the new Skully, I will give you a TShirt, Hoodie, and Hat with the new Skully on it (in your size) as soon as I get them in. This isn't a ploy to make people get the tattoo. I just figure that it's so awesome, it'd be hard not to get it tattooed on you and I want to reward those that are first

Old Skully cool, new Skully awesome!  I think this site is awesome!  Thanks for keeping it up and open.

it's a site i'm rarely on let alone rarely update, but i've used the new skully on my myspace page under my interests.
