I see 3 of them there.. there's supposed to be more?
I would suggest re-uploading if they're not. We just went through a server move, and a few things got a little messed up in the process. They should be there instantly after you upload them.

when was the "rule" of not posting multiple images of a piercing with no change except the jewelry been made?

http://www.bodymod.org/mods/mods.aspx?ID=78157&modtype=Pierce&lm=1

i made a comment on a post that a guy made of his 10mm septum, he had three separate posts of his 10mm septum, all with a different piece of jewelry.... the comment was "as a general rule of posting, it's not allowed to post pictures of a piercing where the only change is the jewelry...
meaning, having three photos of your septum (each with 10mm jewelry) should be made into one singular post...
if you wish to post all three pictures, do so by using the 'add additional photos' option on the first post of the 10mm septum... "

eatenplacenta, then 'corrected' me.... saying "actually freakychild different jewellery photos are now allowed."

now then, when was that change made?

and why?

conceivably, someone could post 100 pictures of their 14g lobe piercing, or 300 posts of their 2g P.A.... literally flooding the servers with rather needless photos... not to mention that people WILL take advantage of that and just post a new picture of a changed piece of jewelry when they want 3 days of supporter status...
seems to me that the change isn't exactly a smart one...

it's things like this that makes people like me and a few others on this site say that there NEEDS to be a clear and concise list of posting rules...

i use the term 'rules' very loosely.. in that the 7 bullet points that appear over the upload pane are rather vague on the finer points... such as adding additional photos, jewelry changes, and others...
and the last one... well, we all know that is no longer the case... in that offending posts only get taken off the listings instead of being outright deleted...

Please Read These Rules:
- You can upload multiple Images and Videos at once.
- Images: JPG only, Videos: MOV,AVI,MPG,3GP,WMV,FLV,MP4,M4V
- Don't upload anything that could be considered pornographic.
- Make sure the Mod is clearly visible and that the photo isn't blurry.
- Only upload photos of you or of your portfolio work.
- Don't upload duplicates, or "different angles" unless necessary.
- Any Mod that breaks these rules will be deleted.

i could give a fuck less about posts being deleted or whatever at this point... it's just become FAR too easy for people to skirt the 'rules' and get away with it...
and then we have things like the reason i'm posting here... that something changes and it's not let known...

for fuck's sake, make the posting rules more concise and to the point... not so fucking vague and extremely limited....
and when you say you'll delete something, do it... else change the text of the rules that are posted...

the rules don't really matter.  they can post different angle pics, multiple pics, cum-covered pics, etc.  they don't get deleted they get removed from the rotation.  there is no quality control.  more pictures somehow directly corresponds to more users, regardless if they are shit.

basically the rule was discussed in private between the moderators and adam around the time supporter status was getting abused. it was changed to this because of people's complaints pretty much. different jewellery can technically change the look of something, so although not a new modification it can be posted. healed and fresh photos can also be separate, as well as progressive images. i'm not saying i agree with that (and i obviously don't, as i believe the additional photo option is there for a reason), and it definitely can be abused, but because of people's complaints and the supporter status thing it is now allowed, and i'm just enforcing it.

i've mentioned plenty of times that there should be an easily accessible FAQ page as well as a site rules page. having something in the forums isn't going to make it to everyone, because people are lazy or don't know how to use a search function.

it's a shame the moderators keep having to take the heat for something they  (and the most vocal people on the site) don't agree with...

that's our job, i guess. if we couldn't handle it we could give up the title any day. i like the site enough to handle it, so even if i don't agree with some things i am more than happy to help out. adam can't please everyone of course.

i'm in full agreement.  but when there is a considerable uprising for a change to be made and no visible argument against it's a bit silly to use that as a cop-out.
