Hi everyone. I'm new here. I noticed a lot of good advice here, so I thought I'd post this.

I've had my vertical labret for almost three months now. I haven't had any problems with it until the last few days. It's been a little tender lately, and today I noticed that there's a small piece of skin that's on the side of the ball at the top of my lip. It sticks out a bit when I push my lip down in order to clean the top ball.

I got it caught on a shirt the other day, and I saw on some other forums about similar problems that it could happen because of that. Basically I just need to know if you guys think it's a keloid starting to form - it doesn't feel hard or anything aside from where I can feel the barbell inside my lip, but I don't know how these things look at first since I've only ever had one on my retired nostril piercing - or if it's just trauma from catching.

Note: I'm aware I'm not wearing proper jewelry at this particular moment. I'm wearing a straight barbell in it right now because my lip swells while I'm sleeping sometimes (unrelated to the piercing - it always has), and I didn't want to add that to the aforementioned issue. This is the only barbell of the same gauge I have at the moment that's significantly longer.

Thanks for the help in advance everyone.
**All of the photos are of the top ball of the piercing. One straight-forward, one when I push my lip down like I mentioned before, and one from the side where the mysterious flesh is.

Also, I have noticed some slight drainage (which I believe is evident on the barbell in the photos).
There's no discoloration or pus or anything else to suggest infection though. It just looks like plasma.
Should I just start back cleaning it as I did when it was healing (2x a day + after meals/cigarettes/etc.)? I usually clean it at least in the morning, anyway.
