![]() IVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF MY TONGUE WITH SALT SOAKS WITH ANYTHING I EAT WHICH IS Hardly anything. I DRINK ALOT OF ICE WATER. AND I ALSO HAVE IBUPROFEN TO HELP ME OUT. I BRUSH M Y TONGUE SOFTLY WITH A SOFT BRISTLE TOOTHBRUSH. HERE IS A PICTURE. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE ITS SINKING INTO MY TONGUE.. TAKE A LOOK GUYS TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK. You need to be sure that the piercing bar is long enough, tbe tongue usually swells a lot. Also the ball / disc shall be large enough to avoid pressing too hard onto too little of the tissue.
The care ... think about using antiseptic rinses. |

Hi, I've had mine for about 6ish years. Looks like swelling and maybe your bar isn't long enough. Was that the original piercing bar? Swelling will go down but that is why it looks like it's sinking down.

What happened with this? Did you get a longer bar?
This definitely looks like embedding to me caused by a bar that is too short .. one mistake people make when measuring for a tongue bar is they will measure the thickness of the tongue while it is flat and flacid.... When the tongue is then poked it becomes stiff and fat which will create irritation on the new piercing if the bar is too short. You look like you need at least another 4mm on your bar length. |
