Hi guys! I am having my first of several subdermal implants done (by Steve Haworth) in two weeks. I just want to hear some personal stories from ppl who have them. How did it feel? Was the pain very bad? What was your heal time like? Are there any things you wish you had known before you had it done? I want to learn as much from you all as possible

the procedure: if it's done with anesthesia, no pain; if done without anesthesia or it doesn't catch on, the pain will be on the verge of unbearable; only other thing to add is that even with anesthesia you'll feel pressure while he separates the skin, on the chest and arm this pressure isn't much of a bother, it seems like someone is sitting on you without making it hard to breathe, but on the head it can be pretty discomfortable, nothing out of hand, but you'll want it to be over

after: the healing is pretty chill, not much pain or anything, granted you don't try to lift weights or anything in the likes, or sleep on it, or get punched near it... just takes a few days off and it'll be 100% before you know it

Steve does not use anesthetic. I actually think it might be illegal to use it here in the USA. But I have a crazy high tolerance to pain. When I had my daughter I was in labor for 18 1/2 hours with no epidural and then I had to have a C section in the end lol. I'm afraid I may become nauseated during the procedure. Do you recommend keeping a soda or something on hand to keep my blood sugar up?

The implant is a 3 inch hollow star in the center of my chest. Do you think I'll be lying down for the procedure? Will there be a lot of blood?

Your position will depend somewhat on the size of your breasts. They can distort image/size of area when you're lying down due to pushing up toward your neck. It is possible that you'll be somewhat inclined but not fully sitting, though every artist and procedure can be different. I was on a bit of an incline for my chest piece, and had I not been, I probably would've suffocated and ended up with a very, very odd looking piece. Haha.

steve does "not" use anesthetics, and it is illegal to use in most places, including here (brazil), including in europe, and yet... look, this is the kind of thing we are not supposed to talk about in body modification

as for the blood sugar, i personally like chocolate bars; before every mod i eat a nice big hamburger and grab a few hersheys cookies and cream chocolate bars to eat during the procedure
