So I am just curious if I have multiple holes in my ear lobe can I stretch more then just the first hole? Or is that not advised?

Not to hog up your questions but yes you can. Just be mindful of how close your piercings are together beforehand. The two in my left ear are at 10 and 8mm (close enough to 00 and 0g) and with single flare tunnels the flares are starting to overlap. Just too close! I've seen 3 holes in one lobe done before as well. Just a word of caution though, treat the piece of ear between tunnels with a great deal of kindness and respect. After all, it is going to be under a lot of stress.

If im starting from typical mall piercing size what should be the first taper I get? and since my first holes are really sad should I wait till everything calms down with them befor starting the other holes?

Ideally never use tapers. Stretch up by one increment at a time using appropriate sized jewelry.

Yes, of course. Always let one injury heal before you do anything that may cause trauma to surrounding tissue. This is true for modifications, surgery, wounds, diseased parts of the body, and any other tissue damage.

One thing I have done is normally only performed one stretch at a time, so not both in the one ear on the same occasion. Only with tape, and LOTS (i mean months here) of healing time from previous stretches would I ever do two at once.

Why is it not ideal for tapers? I haven't heard why body modifiers don't like them. They were suggested to me by some one who runs a shop with LOTS of stretching jewlery. So wondering why that was suggested and why I have been hearing now that tapers arent good?

theyre usually used at smaller sizes. at larger sizes the amount you stretch with them is enormous compared to smaller sizes and runs the risk of tearing or giving you blowouts. like going from a 14g to a 12g is a difference of .4mm. but going from a 2g to 0g is a 2mm jump.

stretch your ear. wait a few months and your ear should naturally just stretch.

Basically, wrapping a layer of tape around a plug will make the diameter fractionally bigger, increasing the layers of tape will slowly increase the size of the plug and stretch the ear slowly and safely between jewelry increments.
