I am currently taping up from a 6 gauge to a 4 gauge with my tongue piercing. My end goal is to eventually have my tongue split, however I have heard a lot of different things about it. I'm just curious about peoples opinions on stretching tongue piercings before having it split to help with regrowth, since there seems to be a lot of opinions on the topic.
Of course, when the time comes I will consult the artist, but for now I am curious what you all think. |

Different artists will give different answers to that, so if you have a particular artist in mind then it might be a good idea to talk to them about it now. Some people won't do splits unless you have a piercing at a certain size, other people prefer that you don't have a piercing at all. If you have access to people who would do it for you then you might want to find out what they prefer and why.
