Hi everyone:)
I'm new on this forum and would like to ask you all for your opinion on something that I've been thinking about for a long time. I'm 21 and would like to get my septum pierced (when the cold weather is over, I don't want to have a runny nose when it heals:(). However I'm not sure if it would look good on me. I've wanted this piercing ever since I first saw one 5-ish years ago, I like it's position in the face and the fact that you can hide it if necessary. But I don't want to have a piercing that actually doesn't suit me at all. The most I get when I ask people is that they don't like piercings in general or that it reminds them of a bull. That's not my point though:) So I wanted to ask a community that DOES like piercings and doesn't just go with "ew piercings are not for girls end of story". I've uploaded some pictures from different angles, I look really grumpy in the last two lol but I figured that smiling or whatever will warp my face shape and maybe make it harder for to give an objective opinion. As you can probably tell my nose is bit crooked, this is because my septum is a bit crooked at the top, like I can breathe easier through my left nostril than my right (but the difference isn't that big) if that makes sense. It's hardly visible normally, only if you were to do a full nasal inspection haha. I am worried that it might make the piercing look crooked, but those are questions for another time and the actual piercer, for now I would like to focus on whether it would even suit my face. So what do you think? Would a septum look good on me? Thanks in advance:) ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for bad webcam picture quality:P |

I say go for it!
Piercings are for everyone and if you want it, you should get it =) Worse case scenario is that you don't like it or change your mind later and you just take it out. That's the beauty of piercings, they're not permanent. Also, with a septum, you can get a retainer for it and flip it up into your nose so that no one can even see it ![]() .: Adam |

As Adam said, you can always take it out later. It is a really cool piercing and I will soon have mine done again.

Thought I'd give you a little update! Went to the piercing shop today, and both the piercers turned me down lol. Apparantly my sweet spot is very small and that in combination with the fact that my septum itself is a bit crooked would make the piercing sit very low and I would have a big chance of it turning out crooked:S. Too bad because I really wanted this piercing haha, though the piercer said that if he were to pierce it you would be able to see the holes from the side of my nose lol, not very attractive! I am a bit bummed out, bit I'm thinking a smiley might be a good second best:) We'll see, I'll have to think about it. I;m mainly concerned about how well I would be able to hide it though! Any experiences?

I think you are lucky, you asked two piercers that cared more about proper work then money!!
