    Posted: March/23/2013 at 6:55am
Hello everyone, new to this forum but I have viewed the sites galleries many times for inspiration, and I have got a question, hopefully some of you guys can help out.

I got a new job at a company who were certain I had to remove my facial piercings, crap I know but hey, I needed the money so I will have to just go along with it for now.

since removing them I have been experiencing some hypertrophic scarring on my bridge and also nostril (strangely only one). It has become really really itchy and dry, and there is no visable sign of pus or infection. I have tried a chamomile soak but it didn't work. Now I'm got to thinking it could be keloids?

Anyone got any ideas?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Im thinking that it's itchy because its healing. I personally would clean it with a sea salt and water solution, then rinse, dry and put some chap-stick on. This is just from personal experience and not a professional suggestion. When your body is healing, its going to itch. Keep it clean, and if you can, keep it from drying out.

If the skin is getting dry and flakey, or cracking, I would put chap stick on it. I wouldn't moisturize only because the moisturizer may have chemicals in it that are not good for healing.

I think you have to upload the pictures off site and then link to them. Or, you could upload your pictures as a mod by clicking on this link--> upload mod

if you click reply to post rather than using the quick reply at the bottom of the page, there are photo adding options.

I assume you can use vasolene, but i prefer chap stick, as i belive it promotes health tissue growth.

Woah. I just read the chapstick stuff. I definitely wouldn't put that on open piercings, especially if they already seem angry..
