A friend and I were talking about hip piercing and she wondered is she could place them so they are x's on her hips does anyone know if it's possible???

I would recommend four anchors instead of two surface bars in the shape of an X.

Not to be "that guy" and CERTAINLY not to condone "crossed" surface bars, but wouldnt four anchors look like a square and not an X.
 And how would anyone ever know if the were crossed under the skin? Answer: they wouldn't, at least not until they started to reject. So, that being said, four anchors would look exactly the same as two "crossed" surface piercings OR two surface piercing side by side. Perhaps five anchors with one in the middle to make an X would work?
