I'm 41, single father (my wife died 3 years ago) and I have three sons aged 16, almost 18 and 22. I have open relationships with them. They know they can always trust me and we have no secrets. My oldest son is gay. I have also some tattoo's (something like 'half body' tribal) and piercings (eyebrow, tongue, nipple, penis).

One day I just came back from the supermarket and wanted to check on my son (almost 18) so i went to his room. He was sleeping nude but something shiny was under the waist and i looked he had his penis pierced! I also saw he had a tattoo above his right nipple and he had his left nipple pierced. He also turned onto his back when I saw he had another tattoo on his back. Now I have nothing against tattoo's and piercings as I find them quite ok. But my son is 17! Now what should I do? He is very muscular guy, 7 foot and is basically muscle. I want to ask does he have a right to get this done?

We have renovated our house few days later and my youngest son was staying in the room with his older brothers. Couple of nights ago my oldest son was about to go to bed, so he took his boxers off since he slept nude (all my sons and I sleep naked). He went to lie down on the bed, then my youngest son noticed that his oldest brother had an erection and he saw right away that his penis was pierced since there was a silver stud at the tip. He was surprised to see something like that and he was asking his oldest brother about it, and he showed him where the piercing was and how it went through. As he was showing it to him he also noticed his brother had a tattoo of some kind of language on the side of his penis that ran along the length of it. He showed it to my second son (almost 18) as well when he came in, he said that his penis is also pierced (I just knew about it for few days).

Now, I knew that my oldest son has his penis pierced, because he told me about it and I saw it in locker room. I didn't know before that my secon son (almost 18) has also penis piercing. Yesterday, my third son (16) asked me if it was ok to get piercing on his penis. He said that his brothers said it was ok, and he'd already seen it in school locker room. Isn't it dangerous to get this stuff done on a young guys penis? Is he even allowed to have those done, since he's only 16? Should I let him get pierced? Is that really so popular piercing nowadays or are my sons strange?

Is it me, or did that story sound somewhat creepy and incestuous?
But yeah, tell him to wait 'til he's 18...
