    Posted: June/29/2011 at 12:23am

I got an apadravya piercing months and months ago.  It was pierced at 10g, and the bar was custom made.  I told the piercer that i think its too tight but she kept saying its fine.. well now, it's not healing properly.  I have a dent in my dick.

here's a picture of the hole..

sometimes, the dent is deeper then other times (usually after sex, masturbating, etc.) but there is always a dent present.
I don't know what to do...

will this heal properly?

I thought about switching the ball to a flat disc but I called all the local shops nearby and they don't sell flat discs.  =[
most shops don't carry 10g jewelry at all here.. (which is why it's difficult getting a bigger barbell)

I looked online on a lot of sites and cannot find a barbell that's around 1 1/4'' (30-32mm) that is sold with flat discs.   In fact, finding flat discs that fit on 10g jewelry is very difficult.. (all i could find was anchor heads for dermals and they're only good for 14-12g jewelry.. )

well from my unprofessional opinion you need to

a: get a longer bar/downsize with a longer bar.

b: take it out and wait till you can find a longer bar and get it re-pierced.

have you gone to talk to your piercer?

but this is just a non pro talking.

You should get a bar that's a little longer. After doing so, the sinking and the "extra" circle skin/scarring you're experiencing should clear up within a few days to a few weeks. :)

Also, have you looked into dome shaped tops for your barbell?

thank you for the replies =) I'm glad that this will go away after I switch the piercing

would it be okay to use  316L ASTM F-138 Stainless Steel for the piercing for now?

I haven't looked any shaped tops except the flat discs (that I couldn't find)

Which websites have you checked? I am sure some people here can recommend good sites to use.

I found some good quality 10g barbells here http://www.bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?keywords=&jewelry=barbell&gauge=10g&material=Steel&price=&brand=&Advanced=Search&ProductID=1812&index=13
If you wanted to wear half balls or flat discs, you can find ones that fit the barbell in the link here http://www.bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?Extras=Y&dwzPage=2&ProductID=4310&index=15 and here http://www.bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?Extras=Y&dwzPage=2&ProductID=4314&index=12

Unfortunately, jewelry of that size must be preordered, so it will take about a month to get to you.  The only place I found it ready to ship is here http://painfulpleasures.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=305&cat=64&page=2 and if you want half balls for it you can get these http://painfulpleasures.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=3982&cat=118&page=1

Since painfulpleasures.com sells low quality jewelry, I would recommend getting a barbell there for a temporary quick fix to relieve the pressure, but still buying the barbell from bodyartforms.com, and switching out when the good quality jewelry arrives.

+1x3 Domes/UFO discs would reduce the intensity of the dimpling effect, and of course a longer bar will help. Good luck to you sir!

thank you again for your replies =) I appreciate it
I regularly shop from painfulpleasures, piercedfish and mspiercing for my piercings

if 316L ASTM F-138 Stainless Steel is suitable material, I can get my hands on that one fast (the one from painfulpleasures)

I prefer flat discs over domes, I'll order them soon
thank you again =)

I'm relieved the scar tissue will go away when I switch bars

Dude The Apa Will Be Fine. thechaingang.com painfulpleasures.com. bodyartforms.com. halfballs might put some preasure on the flat bottom resting on the glans. you def need at least 1/8" on ur bar. dont down guage though. good luck.

It Also Looks Like The Balls On The Bar Are Too Small. Bigger Ones Add Weight But Prevent The Digging.
