Earlier today I got my septum pierced at Scarab Body Arts in Syracuse by John Joyce and he does amazing work. The studio was very clean and friendly. I went in and told him what I wanted and then waited a little for him to set up and went right in after looking at his portfolio (which was great). He marked up my nose for the proper angle and stuck it through. It was a little sting but not too bad, even though I was nervous. It came out to be $65 dollars because the jewelry is superb. It's an Anatometal circular barbell internally threaded 316LVM ASTM F-138 Implant Grade Steel and the saying is true; you really do get what you pay for. It's an awesome piece of jewelry. I am very pleased with the outcome and I couldn't be any more happy with my septum piercing. :) Picture will be up in my mods eventually. I highly recommend Scarab Body Arts if anyone lives in or goes near Syracuse.

P.S. He has been featured on BME before for an interview if anyone wants a good read here:

Great that you are happy with both the piercing and the experience.
I quite like my septum piercing, it was easy to get, easy healing and after care and stretches have been pain free as well, well at least until 8ga where I am now, now sure about the next :-)

I've had my septum pierced for almost 5 years now, and it's my second favorite right behind my bridge. Easy healing, and I love all the different types of jewelry made for this specific piercing. I'm glad you love it, enjoy!

I love that you loved John! I went there for my scarification and all my piercings, save for two.

I got my septum pierced about 2 days ago, and there has been NO pain at all since. None. I've knocked it a few times, and it hurt the teeniest bit, and then afterwards, no swelling, no aching. Nothing. This is the easiest piercing I've ever had. Seriously...

Hell yeah dude, I love my septum piercing. It's super low fuss and if I didn't have my bridge done the septum would be my favorite.
