I'm asking this for my friend - as he isn't a member on this site.
...I am referring to my friend by the gender he identifies as, not the gender he was born as.

Okay, so he is planning to have surgery (in a few years) to have those mean ole' sacks of female chest meat removed - as they cause alot of his BDD issues.
Now, my also wants to get a chest piece tattoo, however he is worried that if he were to get part of the tattoo started the surgery would affect the tattoo.

Does anyone have any further opinions or know of anyone else who has had a similar experience. I would like to be able to relay some reassuring info.

Depending on the exact location of the tattoo and the size of the breasts, the tattoo may be affected.  I don't really know how plastic surgeons go about complete breast removal, but I do know that with a breast reduction, the skin gets pulled and stretched in a way that would likely change the shape of a chest tattoo.  My recommendation for him would be to wait until after the surgery to get his tattoo.
