well my nose ring is stuck in good and the only way its ever coming out is to cut it out haha...something i will need to do quite soon probably. when i went into surgery i was allowed to just tape all my piercings up (incl my tunnels at 16mm). it looked quite silly, but i was quite happy as i was not sure i would be given the choice! i guess it would make things trickier, but really if its such a big ring i can't see that cutting it out in an emergency would be any worse than when people do have jewelery that gets stuck and they can't undo it (even with rubber gloves:P). you'd just have to be careful not to knock it too, i guess;) i know my piercings get a bit sore if i can't take them out! |

Accidents happen.
I nearly had to have my cheek piercings cut out when I broke my jaw because I could hardly open my mouth to unscrew the bars. |

What if you ever need an MRI? same thing goes for all non easily removed jewelery (transdermals, micros. . . ) not a chance youre going anywhere near that multi million dollar machine with any metal in you.

^^ Very true, however. If you were able to obtain a mill cert from the jewelry company of the metal you're wearing n prove it's either implant grande steel or titanium, then what problem could they have if it's bio- compatable?

well after thinking about it over and over
I went and did it,the septum ring has been fixed so it is permanent and
not removable, I am now permanently ringed like a bull.  |

That depends on the hospital and their policies, some of them still wont allow it even if you got it put in by a doctor, from a medical supply company. Kinda the risk you have to take I guess. |

just a bit of an update on my permanent septum ring.
been a few weeks and I love being permanently ringed like a bull and I am happy that I did it.
