So i'm quite a fan of fantasy [and sci-fi too], so i thought we could recommend movies to one another that fit the genre

Some favourites of mine:

Labyrinth
The Princess Bride
Legend
Fantaghiro' [all of them]
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe [both old and new versions]
Merlin
The Mists of Avalon

I'll also include:
Highlander [all of them]
Strange Days

that's all I can think of for now. i'll add more later

here's some suggestions from Scott

Fantasy:
Krull
Time Bandits
Dark Crystal

Sci-fi:
Star Wars (eps 4-6 1-3 for the lightsaber battles)
Tron
Sunshine
Spaceballs (for a laugh at least)
Fifth Element
edit : Flash Gordon (heard a song from it earlier and remembered it)
        2001 a Space Odyssey
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind

Comic sci-fi :
Iron Man 1 & 2
Hellboy

will think of more later

i also forget to include the Neverending Story. shame on me

oh and i love movies based on comic books
i agree on Iron Man 1&2 - Hellboy was decent. I also particularly love all Batman movies, Catwoman, Spawn [movie, as i have yet to watch the animated one], The Incredible Hulk [with Edward Norton], X-Men [all 3 + X-men origins], Daredevil, Ghostrider.

oh, and Space Balls is indeed epic haven't watched it in a long long time!

Also, i really like 'Earth Girls Are Easy' though it isn't reeeaaaaaally sci-fi nor fantasy.

The Gremlins also deserve to be mentioned.

and i quite liked Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story.

Clash Of The Titans (the good version)
Jason & The Argonaughts
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad
Sinbad & The Eye Of The Tiger...
... basically anything Ray Harryhausen worked on is epic.

Nobody said lord of the rings trilogy from the Jackson One.
When you have a arguement with an idiot, the most tangible proof that he's an idiot is his unability to leave peacefully a discussion that can obviously bring nothing.

I watched Doom last night, was ok for something based on a video game.
Glimmi says: But yeah theres that old saying you can't judge a book by it's cover, cause it could have like 60 piercings in it's cock......Well that's not how the saying actually goes but you get my point.
