I'm looking for an heart shaped silicon piece to implant in my chest (hollowed out enough to show just an outline). I'd like it to be a decent size (I can only find tiny ones!) and would much prefer silicon to Teflon.
Any ideas??? |

What size are you looking for? The ones at Haworth's store are 1 1/2". I would imagine that trying to go much bigger would increase your risk of problems with healing, but I could be wrong.

Do you have an practitioner in mind? I know some carve their own piece sometimes.

I thought it was just ebay that forced Hayworth to call them "replicas"
So it's sold as 'just like the real thing' on private sites as well. For it's not medical equipment.... it's not for art.... it's a collectible that looks just like the real thing and is not intended to be implanted. Is this true for all implants? Do all body modification artists use products that hide behind legal jargon that state no liability for any medical use? That sounds pretty unprofessional.... |

how professional is it to tell grown folk what they can and cannot do with their own bodies?

contact brian decker... user xPUREx her on bodymod...
i believe that he custom carves pieces to be implanted by other artists.... at the least, he could probably head you in the right direction... Cookie, Steve Haworth's wife, also has a profile here... i think hers is simply cookiehaworth.... you could probably go through her for info, as i think she does quite a bit on the business side of steve's work...
